So, is there a way to change the max teams for tournament types? I don't understand why it allows us to select more, but then says the max is some other number.

In regards to bracketstyle.... Could you have a look at binarybeast.com and maybe add the score like they do in the bracket layout? And maybe use hover the same way, so when you point at a team displayed in the bracket it shows there road to the final if they vent that far. Just a nice little feature :-)

I like that bracket layout, and it would be nice also to have that feature of hovering and scores. I would also suggest if possible Bananalive if there could be a color difference from the high seed to the low seed or similar to this bracket as well?

How can I change the crown image to a .png. I would like to use the below image rather then the .gif you have. Attached is image which will be reduced to 20x15. What file do I have to change the .gif to .png?

Edit: I am sorry I should have checked before asking. I have it correct now by editing the .gif to .png in the product file. The .png image looks better and would show better on all different colored forums.

One last thing, is there a possibility of a widget for the front page of content.php? Just a list of current and upcoming tournaments.

Your forum does not allow guests to see your Tournament/Ladder/League mod. As far as a widget there is a script in the main file called vb4_widgets_cms.html that you can open in browser, and get the code, and add to a cms widget. There are also forum blocks you can create and open vb4_forum_blocks.html to see the different codes you can use.

Your custom style does not follow the regular forum tabs, so
1 . AdminCP -> Competition Settings -> General Settings -> Navbar Link -> No
2. And then add a tab manually
- OR -
1. Edit template tmnt_navbar
2. You probably want to remove everything between <ul class="floatcontainer"> and </ul>

The black text is defined by css class, shade. Edit that css class to grey text for example, "color: #eee;"

i'm having trouble.

I installed this on my board 4.2 pl 1 and i can see the cp menu on the left, and set all the settings, but in the usergroups, there is no option in the drop down for 'Edit Tournament Permissions'

Thus, even as a super admin, i can't go to any of the php files, and it's not in the navbar either, even though I selected yes to enable that.

Edit the class from it.

So find in template tmnt_comment

To edit tournament permissions, you go to AdminCP -> Usergroup Permissions

I'm releasing v5.3.2 later today to support the new vBulletin v4.2.0 navigation (navbar) system.

Fixed it thank you. The only thing left is that + next to the date on the comment.

Seems like the "Ladders and "Leagues" go hand in hand. How can I omit the Leagues Block as shown in the attached pic?

So when I create a new Category and select Tournament and Ladders or just Ladders I get the following Leagues block in the attached pic.

I would just like to use the Ladder portion and remove the League Option all together.

I do have Leagues disabled in the control panel, but the League Block still shows.

We just upgraded to vB4.2 and tournaments 5.3.2. After the upgrade all of the links for our Categories are broken (don't navigate anywhere, we click them and they go back to the same page). Do we need to recreate everything or is there a fix for this?

You might do, pending on which version you were upgrading from.

Hey banana,great mod,I only have one problem.I cant get the tab to show up in the navbar.I have it enabled but its not showing.It does show in the quick links but I need it to show in the navbar.I cant seem to figure out why its not working.

What vbulletin version are you using?

I have latest version installed on 4.1.10 PL3 and trying to find permission combination to all team captains to add/remove users from their team and any registered user join/delete themselves from team.

I installed this mod correctly, but it doesn't seem to want to work for me. I run vbuletin 4.2 with the publishing suite.I got everything installed exactly as you instructed, however it doesn't work.

In your vBulletin CP, go to: Settings --> Navigation Manager.

Edit the "#tab_mdu1_245#" and change the name to Competitions or whatever you like and hit save... Then watch the magic happen. :)

Thank you that fixed the problem, but now it says i have no permission to access it ;/ i am the super admin of the forums. I went to User Groups> Admin and the tournament permission doesn't show.

For Team Leaders:

AdminCP -> Usergroup permissions -> Can add a user to a team -> Yes

AdminCP -> Competition Settings -> Team Settings -> Limit Usergroup Setting: 'Can add a user to a team' -> Yes


For Team Team Members:

AdminCP -> Usergroup permissions -> Can Request to Join Team -> Yes

Make sure you have uploaded:
bitfield_tournament2008.xml -> \includes\xml\

Then
AdminCP -> Rebuild -> Rebuild Caches

Usually vB styles have colors schemes that work well with this script, however, my current style doesn't work with the team member page as far as colors go.

How do I change the backgorund color on the team members tab to match the background on the Recent Matches tab? See attached pic.

I updated to v5.3.3 and had a tournament scheduled for today. When I try to access the tournament now I receive a "HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request."

Do you know what happend and how I can fix the issue?

Do you get it on all tournaments or just the one?

I had to downgrade back to v5.3.2 so that we could successfully run the tournaments. Perhaps in the future I will try and upgrade again and see if the issue persists. If it does, I will send the link.

Is there any way I could get the recent matches to show up in a sidebar on the forums

Was the issue ever fixed with the knockout stages, teams were randomly drawn from the top 2 goes through, when it should be group a winner v group b runner up for example, so that a team finishes first and is actually rewarded as currently two teams top a group and are put through to face each other.

Using the latest version of vB.

I mean all I want to do is change a few or your images to a different text. In the code below, in the example below I simply type hi before the image tag and it want even save.

Is there a way to change the default sort of tournaments? Right now it defaults to "Name", I'd like it to sort by "Status" so that tournaments that are open and need players lists first.

Would be cool if that was color coded or broken down by section.

There still seems to be some built in maximum number of participants in certain tournament types which we are unable to change? For example, it says "8" is the max players for double elimination. For a tournament that may have many more, is there a way to change this, or is it a limitation of the coding? Really nice system but if the limits are soo small it seems that using an outside bracket system would be better.

If a Free Agent gets invited to a team - how is the free agent notified?

I'm having trouble. I have installed: product-tournament2008.xml and have rebuild caches. However when I click in my navigation bar for Competitions I get this error: "HTTP 404 - File not found. The page you are looking for might have been removed,
had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable."

Yeah that's what I need to do. Do you know how to up load them or what folder etc. I'm new to this and not sure where I up load them too. I have my FTP user name and what not and use FileZilla but just not sure on how to up load. Wish I had a video or some directions on how to do this.

By the way I am using the newest vB forum 4.2.x I think.

This above ^^^^^^^^^^^^^ are the directions that are with the download, but I do not understand this part, could some explain what this means.. Am I suppose to create a new directory with the name CHMOD 777 ?? I'm confused.. Much help greatly appreciated

3. Upload (blank) index.html so that no-one can see contents of the directory

Switch to tradtional front page layout.

Or place "Competitions Front Page: Announcements Block Location"

After turning on SEO URL's and rebuilding caches, I seem to have issues accessing team profile pages.

The URL given for a team simply takes you to the Team List page. Even when clicking on Team Names from the
Team List page, it just reloads the same team list page.

Any ideas?

Having some trouble after uploading it locating the Usergroup Settings...i know where i am supposed to look and not seeing anything about the Tournament System in there.

Make sure you have uploaded:

• bitfield_tournament2008.xml -> \includes\xml\

And then:

AdminCP -> Rebuild -> Rebuild Bitfields

The usergroup settings may be located anywhere on the page, not necessarily at the top

Instead of using the BB code in the tournament section to add different rules, is it possible to make it so when you click on "Rules" it will only be assigned to that tournament or ladder and isn't the overall rules page when you click on it.

This would be awesome addition.

Also, challenge options. When I create challenge options for ladder, it pops up a new screen but I can't scroll down or move the pop up screen because I have a lot of challenges and therefore has cause the screen to become to big.. Any way this can be fixed.

Also forgot a couple things..

1.) When a match gets disputed is there anyway to have a screen pop up saying match has been disputed and have a support ticket open up for the user to complete and send in with their proof in the ticket. Because a lot of users are forgetting to send in support tickets bc they dont know there match is disputed.

2.) Also anyway to have a private message sent to all Admins of when a match gets disputed and when a support ticket has been created by a user/member so Admins know when to check the support tickets?

3.) Last thing: Any way to design or come up with a LIVE SUPPORT, maybe like a chat system where users/member/teams can go to LIVE SUPPORT, (if online) to get help from admins??

Please give a little more instruction on how to do the embed. What are we suppose to see by adding embed=1 at the end of the URL? It stays the same, and I don't see how to embed or given any code to embed.

When inviting users to a team after selecting their name as it appears it appends ';' at the end, which results in the following:

They are mainly small edits, so I haven't done a version history for each minor release.

Nope. You would create Ladder 1 January. And then you could create Ladder 1 February the following month. If you then link them together as seasons, you can easily flick between the two ladders, easily. And you also have the option (as admin) to fill your february ladder with all the players from january ladder.

Found a small bug...

I've created a number of team categories.. when editing a team, it automatically defaults the category selection to the first option in the drop down box.

Are you able to make it so when editing the display value is the value previously entered and it only updates when physically changed?
