how do I enable the ladders. I cannot seem to get it going on my site. www.uggabugga.net/forum

You enable everything trhough the admin panel in the competition settings, once you do just go create a category and the rest falls into place.

I'd suggest just messing around with it for a while to get used to the features.

Hi. I have a bit of an odd issue. I can't add any new tournaments because when I go to add a tournament there is no year of 2012. It goes from 2005-2011. o.O


Anyone know how to fix this?

the dates for creating new tournaments only goes upto 2011 how can i change that

Search in templates for tmnt_new open then search in that template for <select name="year" and you will see all the options for years up to 2011. Insert the same code as the other but add 2012

So not that it is a big issue I have edited the product xml to include years up to 2020. I uploaded to server, and overwrote existing file. I get the years up to 2020 when I got to edit or create a tournament, but when editing or creating a league or ladder it will not show any higher than 2015. This is what I could use some assistance on if anyone knows the work around, thank you.

I want to use this script for a Call of Duty clan. I want to set up the ladders so that for each match a random selection of maps and or modes is selected. Can someone tell me if this is possible/how to do this because I can't seem to find it anywhere!! lol

Loving this mod thanks so much...

I run an FPS gaming clan and were about to have a yearly comp and the single elimination is perfect for this...

Only 1 problem so far...

I have created 8 teams and added them to the comp and it then creates the tree type set up...

But i cant see the team names ?? See attachment... Please help :D

It should follow vbulletin style, but quick fix is...

AdminCP -> vBulletin Options / Competitions Settings -> Tournament Specific Options -> Tournaments User HTML (including username)

What lines in the xml file should be edited to add the extra dates to the ladders?

None for ladders, just that previous code.

When you set a challenge on the ladder for another user to accept.Ie open challenge.Could these be shown in the Sidebar on the main Forum???

Members joining the site could see it if there are challenges then at a glance on the side of the forums which would entice members to make challenges :D

Can i get a little help sorting this issues in the screenshots
Top pic is admin looking at the Ladder they are able to Insert a ladder challenge which then shows up Fine.
The lower screen is a member who can not see that Button to insert a challenge at all.
I presume its a setting i have missed but still can not find it so any help would be superb thank you

Edited both bits of code like you said but still shows 2015. Any help would be appreciated mate.

Tell your guy to click find match then on the right (not obvious) it says create match... I use a nav button mod to make a separate menu to link straight to create a challenge....

Or it could be the permissions for that group, can see ladder, can create challenge blaaah ...

I had this problem, when you make the edits you need to edit both sides....

I can not add tournaments. Well i can but the dates getting all fracked up :(
If i add the date march 15 2012 for a tournament it comes up as march 15 2006.
Check the screen.
I can add teams to the tournament but i can not see any brackets. I can not finnish the tournament either. Then i get a database error. I can only delete the tournament.

That cant be because the tournament says 2006 instead of 2012 and is in progress the second i create it ?

Yes we can talk about that tournament. Every tournament comes out like that. the year 2006. I can not join the tournament since its already in progress directly after creating it.

Trying to create a 12 man Single elimination tournament... if I add 12 people to the tourny it automatically changes it to 16 and puts 4 of the people on a bye week... wtf man

Did you select 2006 when you created a tournament? Open the XML file in an editor and change the year ranges. Right now they are 2005 thru 2011 I believe. I changed the years to reflect 2012 thru 2015. Not that I would need to schedule anything further than a week or two, let alone a couple of years.

I edited the product-tournament2008.xml file and added this in two different places:

<option title="year" value="2012">2012</option>
<option title="year" value="2013">2013</option>
<option title="year" value="2014">2014</option>
<option title="year" value="2015">2015</option>
</select>

Re-upload your xml file to overwrite the existing one. It won't fix whatever dates are currently in there, but at least no further tournaments will be created with previous years. Not sure if this helps or not, but I believe it's the problem you are having. I'm new to this mod also and I'm just making my way around and trying to fix errors.

I guess this is a feature request....

A lot of sites have different game modes/types or cater for xbox or ps3 but the teams are all lumped together is it possible the teams section could be in categories so that if you're a ps3 gamer you can click ps3 teams or indeed if you're an xbox user, there is quite a range of things that categories could be used for, football categories fps categories etc etc.

Little embarrassed to ask this... but how on earth to do you create teams.

I've created both a Tournament and & League and I can't for the life of my see anything that says 'create a team' or similar.

Permissions have been set properly.

There is a drop down menu which says "Teams" when you click it at the bottom of the drop down it says add new, check that users have the ability to add new teams I have admin set at 100 and users at 3 or something.

Depends on the request tbh. It may be something for lite version or for premium version or may be too complex to implement.

If I try to put a team logo, it takes me to a blank page.

So here's something I'd be willing to throw down cash for, easily:

User Match Report.

Currently, it is up to a moderator to update match status, which puts a "strain" on the team. What I would instead suggest is that users are able to report the outcome and score of a match (Win, Score, for example). Moderators only need be involved when reports from opposing players / teams are conflicting.

Reporting would be done by the player / team leader (or creator).

Other suggestions:

o Tourney bracket doesn't scale, so users with long names will show up 'blank' or push options out (such as the option to regress players).

o Ability to move players around within the tourney. Currently you get an error message saying "Player is already in tournament".

Can't seem to add players to my team come up as "Athrun1234 is not a member of this Forum, Please Check your spelling" but I am the Administrator.

Is Athrun1234 already part of the team?

I run a fighting game forum and the only respectable format in fighting game tournaments is double-elimination, and 8 is too low. I'd really appreciate if you could do that.
