You can prevent vision to a user group?example not only to see New Posts to the group in reading.
Thanks

Sorry, I don't understand. It sounds like you want to keep a usergroup from seeing something?

Mine is an example but I would write in the template for a condition not to read something to the group in reading.

Maybe this way I can make myself understood.
The reading group should not see this writing.

Now I think I was clear in the request, there could be no solution?
Thanks

To be honest that picture confused me more, because there's an arrow pointing to the Archive link but none of your previous posts mention the archive.

blind-eddie 01 Jun 2012 14:16

I think krimesis wants to hide the archive link in the footer.
And what is the "Reading Group"?

krimesis, you do know that what you see as an admin is not what others see when looking through the archives. It has the same permissions as your forums.

Boofo 01 Jun 2012 14:27

It sounds like he doesn't want a certain usergroup to be able to see the archive posts.

Yes in fact.
thanks

Boofo 02 Jun 2012 22:41

You can delete the link in your footer, but if someone has a direct link they would still be able to see the archive. I'm sure there has to be a way to do what you are asking.

In your footer template,

Find:

Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)
Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.

Add above:

Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)
Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.

Edit this to only show link in footer to the usergroups you want to see the link.

Find:

Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)
Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.

Add above:

Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)
Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.

Click save.

As Boofo mentioned above, those that know the direct URL can still get to it & view it, but they can only view the forums you gave them permisson to view in Forum Manager. Remember, they do not see what you see.
