Downloaded and installed - though some of the phrases need sorting - Thow instead of Throw.

Good stuff though...

It's happening when a member clic to clean his avatar, but I did a test and could not reproduce this error :(

Sorry, not showing up on mine either.

There is no reason for it to show up on private messages - they don't even have a postbit, unless you've got some mod or style change that adds that stuff in.

Make sure you go into all the usergroups and set their permissions to be able to see and throw eggs. Other than that, I can't see any reason for the button to not show up, unless your postbit has been pretty heavily modified. It positions itself using the 'online' button.

Mines still not working i have all permissions set etc but when anyone uses it the persons avatar just don't show its just a broken image.

Yes, that seems to be happening to a number of folks. If you want to send me login into via PM or email, I'll see if I can find out what is going on.

A question to the people getting the database error: Are you getting the error AFTER you've selected an 'egg' to throw and clicked submit?

Try to insert at any page such demo. May be that will give you some idea how to throw eggs to post :)

If you try to click on the menu before the page is finished loading that is when I got errors. It seems like that is the only time. After I get the error, the post of the person that I was going to throw an egg at disappears.

I might have a solution - I'm testing it now.

Updated: Let me know if that fixes the database errors for those having them.

It's annoying because I loose all settings, and I must redone permessions for every usergroups.

There is no upgrade. Uninstall and reinstall.

That will be good because people don't want to see all of their egging go to waste, plus we have to set all the permissions again with each upgrade.

I installed everything work fine ! But i cant view my own avatar ...For some reason my avatar not showing but just X mark say no avatar but i did have avatar . Weird

I have Live Topic as well. What issue are you encountering, and have you found a fix yet?

not bad ones...it's just as the messages flash , the egg thrower stops working until you manually refresh the page. I eggspected that (see what I did there?)

Why? It's not a bad idea. I've kept the information from the start with the idea of maybe doing something with it. A log of who egged you, and perhaps a "This post has been egged x times" thingy on the postbit.

All fixed - you didn't have the egg images in the images/misc directory.

Given it's popularity, I'll install Live Topic and see if I can't work out a fix for the next release.

Since we're running well now, I'm not doing any bug releases unless something nasty comes up. I'm starting work on 2.0.

2.0 features will be listed in the main mod info in a few minutes.

I think i should put all my PNG avatar inside /images/avatars/thumbs/avatar.png !

I've installed the new version but now the phrases are missing the usernames. I've provided a screenshot.

Good catch. Once again you are all being very patient and helpful. I've updated the eggavatar.php file with the fix, just upload it - no need to reinstall or reimport.

What are you trying to do?

I'd just like to make the scroll-out window smaller in width.

I'm also trying to change the location of the icon to right after the 'reputation' icon, and before the 'infractions' icon. :) I have a neat little mini egg to use.

I tried editing the "Add Postbit Control" plug-in to change the replacement text it searches for in the 'eval', but that did not work.

Any pointers in these two areas will be terrific!

Im using a modified postbit_legacy :o and I cant see the throw icon :eek:

The weird thing is that I dont have the online button either :confused:

Ok, I have a member that's using IE 7 and says he gets when he clicks the button to throw an object.

He says that when we were using 1.2.1 it was working fine.

Well we figured it out. He had to clear his cache. It's working fine now!

Btw can u add more items to throw ?

Make sure you enable egging in all the usergroups you want. It's off by default.

Yes, it's better than it was, but there is still some oddness going on in some cases with the blending of images. I am working on it. This is my first time using the php GD graphics library to do stuff like this :D

Might give this a go. I think I'll design my own icons though but this looks prity nice (not the kind of script I would normally use). I'll tag it and try it when I have time and click install once I've seen it in action.

There's a fade time settable in the admin options. By default they fade on their own after an hour.

If a person is egged, does it display on hover who egged them ?
Also if they are egged by multiple people does it show multiple eggs on their avatar

Only one issue.

Those with No avatars, that we use the noavatar.gif for, it doesnt splat those.

You can change the graphic to anything you want, it's configurable. The hover text is a good idea, I'll add that to the 2.0 list.

Also a good idea - I'll make sure this is fixed for the 2.0 version.

not working for me.
My version of vbulletin 3.8.0
usergroup permissions are done
live topic installed

and the following error message is coming up when I was clicking on the throw egg button:
Invalid action attempted

i tried it with the firefox (newest version) as well as the internet explorer 7 and 6

Try clearing your internet cache. One of my members had the same problem and that fixed it.

nope doesnt work. ive just installed it and it never worked.....

ive seen that it only work when clicking on the upper right corner icon, not on the icon left bottom corner (under username)

but where to remove the left handed icon? didnt found it in the postbit template...

You have to uninstall first, there is no upgrade.

I noticed people that cpmplaint dont work because if their avatar from another website link or U didnt upload them into your :

images/avatars/thumbs/youravatar.gif

Try upload your avatar Gallery to the folder i just show above..it might work .

This version doesn't work with external avatars (urls) - for example the avatars form the Fascebook Connect mod. That's already been fixed, and will be in the next release.

Cant wait for 2.0,been looking at this for a while but I have too many users with avs on external urls and animated avatars
