This is a small mod that will allow admins to set a minimum post count before users can post links in posts and threads.

It is a simple installation, just upload the contents of the UPLOAD folder to your forum root, then import the product XML, product-ozzmodz_post_link_38

You can edit the options under the settings, [OzzModz] Minimum Posts Before Posting Links Settings

  • Option to set which usergroups are excluded from the affects of this mod.
  • Option to set the post count required before posting links.

Q. Why do I need such a thing, you ask?

A. This is just another tool to help admins fight spam.

What does 'Marking As Installed' do ?

* It helps you to stay on top of updates - members who have installed modifications will be notified whenever new updates are available.

* For security issues - vbulletin.org will contact all members who have installed a modification whenever a security issue is brought to their attention.

* Marking a modification as installed also helps me know how many people are using my work, giving me extra incentive to provide more features and new modifications.

I appreciate the support!

Hi, does this work if they make a normal post, but then edit their post to add a link?

im not sure if that can be stopped. i had to edit the time of users to edit their post.
example: i had members posting 10 posts then coming back and edit each post and adding links. when i changed edit time to say 5 minutes they couldn't edit to add there link. im guessing you most likely have done or thought of that. just my 2 cents.

Yes it will not allow them to edit posts and add links. :)

Hi, I came across an issue today, when this mod is enabled it causes the RSS Feed Manager to stop working. When I run the scheduled task for the RSS Poster Robot it would show this error:
Quote:

Fatal error: Call to a member function clean_array_gpc() on a non-object in /home/*****/public_html/global.php on line 22
With this mod disabled it would work fine. Would you be able to look into this at all? Thanks. :)

I'll check it out, I bet it is affecting the bot somehow.
