Anyway i can set permissions so that only certain members can see certain tournaments?

eg/ only members with 100+ post can see the "100+ post tournament" but other members can still other tournaments that are available?

I would like to see Robin round worked into a liga so you choose how many groups and teams go into each. And it has to be shown like lader so you can see whos on top of each group.

Ex:

Group 1
Team
1. W L ect.
2. W L
3.
4.

And so on

And then ad a calender option so the teams can agree on when to play the matches.

So it would be the same as round robin apart from splitting teams/ players into groups on the results page?

Just like a normal soccerleague with devisions, and the players move up and down every seson. Or you can use as group stages and have top 2 or 4 players go on to the playoff...

I would like to see same kind of top menu, and boxex/widgets that show latest matces ect.

In next version 'Ladders List' & 'Front Page' will have a new design showing more information.

Yes but most of the blocks are contained within one template so you would need to copy the appropriate html to a new template. Then just copy php query to a new widget.

'Submit a Loss' is useful as people won't falsely submit a loss it doesn't need moderation or confirmation.

'Submit a Win' would need some form of moderation to prevent users falsely submitting the game as a win. If you or anyone else has any ideas on how it would work then let me know.

i have just installed this mod and i would like to say job well done, from playing with it for like 45 minutes i am really in love with it.

i do have a suggestion for the submission of win/draw/loss. if there is a way that when a player submits a result for the match that it messages the person they played for that match for a confirmation of results that would eliminate the need for moderator approval on match wins.

i would like to know if its possible to change "Ladder" to League. I would also like to know if there is a way to limit the number of games a player can play for rating each week and add bonus points to matches. right now my league is going to be 5 points for a win, 3 for a draw and 1 for a loss and i want to give the players bonus points for playing on certain days of the week and playing extra games during each scoring week.

also wanted to know if it was possible the mod was able to have a grid layout so that it looks like the rest of the webpage.

What you say makes sense. The issue I see is user behaviour. If i lose I'm not going to submit a lose as I no longer have interest since I'm eliminated from the tournament, thus holding up the process.

For the ESL (Starcraft 2) they allow either the winner or the loser to report the result. If the report is wrong the winner sends through the replay to fix the issue.

I guess if the loser doesn't report the loss, the winner has to get in contact with the moderator of the tournament and send through the reply anyway same as if a false win was reported.

I just believe people are more likely to make the effort to report a win then to report a loss.

Maybe make it an option where you can either report a loss or win?

I do however have an error. When i leave a ladder i get a error message even though it still removes me from the ladder.

Warning: implode() [function.implode]: Invalid arguments passed in [path]/ladders.php on line 1835

Thank you for making this mod. I just made the move to Vbulletin and I'm learning ho things work.

I have installed it on a test forum that doesn't have any other mods or skins aside from default.

Right now when I click on competitions in the bar I get a permission issue.

"you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation."

I went through every permission setting I could find and nothing seems to help.
Any help would be appreciated.

Database error in vBulletin 4.1.1:

Also I dont think the ELO is working incorrectly. After playing games members are set to 25 elo for the win and 1 for the defeat. Anyone else having this?

There will be a maintenance release, fixing issues with ladder elo-rating very soon. Anyone running v4.3.1 is advised to upgrade immediately.

If you find any other errors/bugs, let me know and I'll do my best to resolve them.

I'm afraid you can't at the moment, without manually editing your mysql database with phpmyadmin.

Elo rating in v4.3.2+ will no longer display calculator,etc. if disabled in t+l options.

In v4.3.2 you can xp for 1st place. Adding it for 2nd & 3rd place is harder, and may come in a future release.

I'm still not sure of the best solution, but it is something, which I'm planning to add to a later version.

You could change the phrase from ladder to league in admincp -> phrase manager

There is currently no way to have different points depending on the day, etc.

Which page?

There is alot of information contained on the main pages, so tabs were added to stop a page being very long vertically.

In the double elimination brackets, is there a way to rearrange who is in which bracket?

Is it possible to add a shuffle button to shuffle the brackets randomly? :)

In Ladders, when one player/team wants to play another they challenge another player/team in the ladder.

I am having a problem even accessing the competitions page. The program is telling me:
"you do not have permission to access this page."
I have looked throughout the forums and I can not find a solution to this problem. Can someone help me figure out what I am doing wrong. Thank you.

I just had a tournament where the winner was supposed to get 30 xp for the ladder but it didnt work?

And if i make a test ladder and give 30 xp to the winner will it be gone when i delete the ladder again, or do i have to remove it my self?

And when u do testing it adds win to hall of fame ect, and when u delete them again it still counts :-(

v4.3.3 you can edit tmnt_wins, tmnt_joins via admincp -> edit user

I can change the number of wins for tournaments and the numbers of tournaments joined...

But i cant change xp for ladders from admincp -> edit user ?

1. AdminCP -> Usergroups -> Usergroup Manager -> {Select Usergroup} -> More Tournament and Ladder Permissions -> Can Edit Players/Teams Ladder Data

2.Then on top navbar, click 'Ladders' then click 'Edit Competitor Data'. Select Ladder, click submit, select player/team, then click submit, and then edit data.

2.View ladder, and click edit image on right hand side.

I have a site that is used by a group of folks that play golf online.

I've installed Tournaments & Ladders and it looks to have installed fine. But given that I am not familiar with online gaming sites that use things like this I am a bit lost applying it to my site.

First - we have two basic types of tournaments. Match Play and Stroke Play. Match Play tournaments are similar to Ryder Cup, or for that matter tennis bracket tournaments if you are familiar with them. Stroke Play are similar to the PGA's weekly tournaments. Players play 4 rounds. Combine the scores. Lowest score wins the tournament.

Looking at it quickly it seems "Tournaments" lends itself to the match play concept. Can ladders be used for the weekly stroke play?

Also, I figured out how to set up matches. For example if I have 8 players competing I can easily set up the first 4 matches. But how do I set up the next bracket (i.e. the 4 winners playing 2 rounds, and they the two remaining going against one another. In other words how do I set up the complete bracket?

Also, how can I use categories?

That is a mistake, but it will not affect any functionality.

If you click on a ladder, then click on the whitespace next to a player/team's name, see screenshot

I'm experimenting with a league system. If you have 30 players joining the league, how are they normally splitting into groups? Is it based upon last seasons league? If it is then the first season would have to random put them in groups, I assume.

I'm afraid I've got no idea about golf. Ladders work on the basis of two players playing each other, I'm not sure if that's like stroke play.

That sounds like a single elimination tournament. The winner from each pair progressing to the next round, until there is a winner.

How ever you want, create categories for different types of golf, different standards (ie. pro or beginner) or different locations (eg. UK/ USA golf tournaments)

Categories are there just to help you organise your tournaments and ladders better.

Yes corect..

If its a brand new tournament, plaryes will be added random since there is no record.

And if its for soccer you could have 3 division/pools, and based on 30 players, all pools would then consist of 10 players/teams. The pools are normaly filled up with the highest ranked, if such are not enough teams to fill 1.div. up, the underlying rows not being created.

The group will play 1-2 times against any team. Each round is divided into ex. 3 days: Monday-Wednesday and Thursday-Saturday(so you are able to play more than one game a week).

This tricky part is to make a system that will ensure that players/teams will play there matches.

I know this model is beeing used but dont know if its the best way to go about.

Could you make a online calender/sytem which would ask what time players/teams can play certen round matches. Then there information on possible dates for the next round must be submitted the day before the round begins.

Lets say players/teams have to choose 3 spots/days on the calender, then make the system automatically choose a time both parties can play.

And if one of the teams dosnīt enter any dates he will lose the match.

Dont know if it makes any sence at all..
