vBSSO - vBulletin Single Sign-On
![]() Developer Last Online: Apr 2019 ![]() ![]() ![]()
vBSSO is a vBulletin plugin that helps you connect to different software platforms like content management systems, blogs, and online stores using a secure Single Sign-On
The system has two components. First, there’s a vBulletin plugin that creates an interface for authenticating, controlling access, and managing user profile data. The second component is plugins for other platforms (like WordPress) that teach it to talk to vBulletin and exchange data. Here’s a list of support platforms. Has anyone tried this with vB4.2.2? Will it work with PHP 5.4?

I'm having major issues with this.
Set it up, works fine for a while, but if you try logging in and out with different usernames on a dev forum, it stops showing the admin tools and username etc at the top of the page on the WP side. Try to login to WP admin directly /wp_admin, and get directed back to the forum with an error message
Any help on this would be great. Using Firefox by the way. vB4.2.2 and WP 3.8 may be the problem? I no it doesnt say its supported, but maybe there is a solution.

It appears to be working for me on VB 4.2.2
However, with the new Wordpress 3.8 update I am curious... will the plugin work if I upgrade to Wordpress 3.8? No members have liked this post.

Shame there is no solution to this.

I use a plug-in for category to transform them in subdomain. sub.domain.com and I can log-in (added the subdomain in vBulletin whitelist) but it is redirected to www and if I go to sub.domain.com the session isn't kept ![]() Working perfectly if I disable the subdomain plugin. Anyone had similar issue? No members have liked this post.

Have it installed between VB 4x and Wiki, and there is a gaping hole somewhere on the wiki side that allows anyone to bypass the vbsso and register. I've presented the issue to the developer, but they seem unmotivated to look into it... Suggested a pay for a support ticket on their site, but the option doesn't exist....
My bad, I thought donating to remove the footer might have gotten somewhere when I first installed before we found the issue.... No members have liked this post.
