RSS?

this will be a basic question.. but I just moved from phpbb3 to vbulletin so I am just getting used to the vb way of doing things.

So I am running the latest vb5 patch level 1. But for all my locked down forums it seems it wont build RSS for them? Will it only build RSS for public forums?

so can anyone give me some pointers as to if you can get around this.. phpbb3 was nice because I could decide what RSS was included in my rss feed (open or closed).. but this only seems to build RSS on an individual basis and if the forum \ channel is open?

I can't answer your question but maybe someone can help you out at the official vBulletin forums: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/

rss feeds work only for forums with public access.

if it wouldn't be so, i could take any feed reader and grab news from your intern forums no guest should see, understand?

You would need to modify the files to do what you want. I would look at the files /includes/vb5/fronteend/controller/external.php and the functions in //core/vb/api/external.php

Try a search before posting for help. Many users won't, and don't, help if the question has been answered several times before.

If I post some CSS and don't say where it goes, put it in the additional.css template.
I will NOT help via PM (you will be directed to post in the forums for help.)
