Force Reason When Editing Posts
![]() Developer Last Online: Oct 2015 ![]() ![]() ![]()
I just coded this for a client of mine who uses another x forum and I found the idea interesting and thought to make use of it for my own forum as well and to port it over to vb too. Hopefully there will be other users who might find it also interesting.
Anyway, with this mod you can force the reason for edting posts. I.e. if users will not specify the reason for editing their post, they will not be able to do edit them at all .After you install it, go to Settings-Options-Message Posting and Editing Options. And all the way to the bottom you will see 3 settings for the mod. Where you can enable and disable the mod, enter the error message that you want to display to those user who have not entered the reason for editing their posts and as last but not least, choose which usergroups can be exluded from the edit post reason limit. If you will need support with this mod, or if you will request new features to be added etc, please post them at the mod thread at my forum. http://www.forumservices.eu/showthre...-Editing-Posts Download Now Only licensed members can download files, Click Here for more information. really nice idea, but you need to remove "optional" under the reason box when it's activated.

This looks like a great mod. I did however notice something that should be corrected. When someone edits a post, it still says "Optional" under the input box, should it not say "Required"?
