TfSEO 2.1

TfSEO is a powerful and free url rewrite for the vBulletin system: it rewrite forum, thread and post urls.
For me it's very hard to explain well all the feature of this plugin, soo the best way is test it.

How much does it weight on the server?

I have tested on my home server:
TfSEO enabled, heavy:

Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)
Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.

TfSEO disabled, standart vburl:

Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)
Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.

Like you can see product takes about +10ms per request.

Note: vbulletin will have by default a rewrite system from version 4.0 (beta should coming next month, april). I relly suggest you to wait, and not use this product. If the vb's rewrite will be great, i will no more update this product.

is it possible not to use that button and just simply click the thread title instead
would be great if u could remove the numbers on each thread title and only have the forum title name instead

Simpli edit the plugin "rewrite something" replace something like .....$tfseo_url-$thread[threadid]/
With
.....$tfseo_url-$thread[threadid]/#post$lastposcount

I have installed this mod but on enabling the rewritting option the page either takes forever to load or gives this error:

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

OR

some error related to function_tfseo related to class_postbit.php
I have uploaded htaccess, the function file in /Include/ and also uploaded the xml file correctly.

This is affecting the traffic to my site. I need to fix this quickly! Can anyone please help?

Thank you!

For a fast support, contact me directly like in the first post.
The first problem is because you haven't filled correctly the "BASE URL OF THE SITE" field in the admincp options. Fill it or disable the 301 REDIRECT.
For the second one.. can i have a screen?

This is no a problem! No url go to fxx without trailing slash! But, if you want to rewrite fxx to fxx/ you must edit the htaccess, doubling the line of code, ed so incrasing the server load.

Hi Jeff,

I have just found an issue while trying to move posts from one thread to another one by putting the URL (rewritten) of the destination thread where posts will be moved. vBulletin appears to don't recognize rewritten URLs, is this a fixable issue?

Thank you!

Jonathan.

The manual fix (that i think you know) is insert the old url, to example http://forum/showthread.php?t=[the-thread-id-that-you-find-in-the-rewrite-url]
A "auto" fix will include a manual code edit i think..
