This modification will allow your members to RSVP to events on the vBulletin calendar. By default, members can respond "Yes," "No," or "Maybe," as to whether or not they will be able to attend an event, but you can modify or add to the list of responses members are presented with as you desire.

Features
  • Specify some or all of your calendars to use the RSVP system.
  • Set whether an event accepts RSVPs during event creation / edit.
  • Allow members to specify if they will be bringing a guest.
  • Event owners can set the maximum number of guests each member may bring.
  • Events can be set to close RSVPs on the day of the event or before.
  • RSVP comments (up to 65k character limit, configurable)
  • Timestamped RSVPs
  • Moderators and event owners can remove member RSVPs from events.
  • Attendance list can be set to display member avatars.
  • Improved handling of differing timezones and daylight saving times.
  • Configurable Response options. You aren't stuck with Yes, No, Maybe. You can setup whatever responses you want.
  • Ability to specify a maximum number of attendees for an event. After the maximum is reached, you can configure members to either receive an error or have their response (RSVP) automatically changed to something else. This could be used to create a wait-list bucket, for instance.
Requirements

You have to edit the file product-rah_calendar_rsvp_3_0_0b.xml with a editor like ConTEXT and fix the line items discribed above...

Not sure if this problem is related to this mod or BBR - vB Event Forums.

I can add threads that are associated with a calendar, but shouldn't I be able to simply post a thread too?

Any chance of integrating this with a payment system (PayPal, etc) to show who has paid for an event? I run a nonprofit organization where we do things like 5k runs, golf tourneys, etc, where people register for events that require entry fees/donations. This hack would be perfect and save us a lot of money over Active.com, EventBrite, etc.

Some time ago I was going to use vBulletin to collect money for events.
I had planned on using the paid subscriptions function.
Once someone paid they would be moved to a special usergroup.
After the event, remove everyone.
That might be one way of doing what you need.

Fix for the RSVP wrap issue in IEx

Modify last line in template: calendar_rsvp_section

Replace the <ul> to </ul> with...

Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)
Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.

Basically I just added a full table/tr/td call and close...

Thanks for your help Cory (great name btw, mine as well).
Seemed to have worked somewhat in IE although the "SUBMIT" button is still overlayed. This did not seem to work with Firefox however.
What could you suggest for that?

Any more ideas? I really like this mod and we use it all the time on our site. This seemed to have happened after the update of 4.0.3.
Any help would be appreciated.

So am I - the fix provided on the previous page didn't fix it for me either. Also, the thread starter's avatar does not show up? It just uses the image of a person's outline (used usually when someone doesn't have an avatar)

Here's a pic. And I most definitely have an avatar set. Before I entered an RSVP it said "Will you be able to attend on %1$s?"

Also it's worth noting the $ in "$You may change your RSVP status below"
