navbar border wont change

All the other styles ive created worked perfectly, as soon as i modify the vbulletin.css to put an image as a background the background colides with the navbar border (according to 10 steps to skinning your forum) but when ever i change the navbar border it doesnt effect anything..

(pic below)

If you know how to fix it please help.

Ive also downloaded FireBug to aid in helping but thats just pointing to the navbar..

My suggestion:
Your image may be too 'tall' for your navbar height. Either reduce the px height of the image or go into the template editor for header (i think that's the template) and change the px height of the navbar.
