This modification will allow your members to RSVP to events on the vBulletin calendar. By default, members can respond "Yes," "No," or "Maybe," as to whether or not they will be able to attend an event, but you can modify or add to the list of responses members are presented with as you desire.

Features
  • Specify some or all of your calendars to use the RSVP system.
  • Set whether an event accepts RSVPs during event creation / edit.
  • Allow members to specify if they will be bringing a guest.
  • Event owners can set the maximum number of guests each member may bring.
  • Events can be set to close RSVPs on the day of the event or before.
  • RSVP comments (up to 65k character limit, configurable)
  • Timestamped RSVPs
  • Moderators and event owners can remove member RSVPs from events.
  • Attendance list can be set to display member avatars.
  • Improved handling of differing timezones and daylight saving times.
  • Configurable Response options. You aren't stuck with Yes, No, Maybe. You can setup whatever responses you want.
  • Ability to specify a maximum number of attendees for an event. After the maximum is reached, you can configure members to either receive an error or have their response (RSVP) automatically changed to something else. This could be used to create a wait-list bucket, for instance.

Fix for error:

The response you gave to this event was not in the list of valid responses. Please contact the forum administrator if you believe you have received this message in error.

In the admincp, under Farcaster's Event Attendance, change all of the Possible Responses to use ALL LOWER CASE CHARACTERS. The defaults are set to:
Yes
Maybe
No

but change them to:

yes
maybe
no

OR edit line 863 of the XML before importing the product.

old: if (in_array(strtolower($response),$valid_responses)) {
new: if (in_array($response,$valid_responses)) {

Is there anything new on this mod? Also, is there any Event Forum add on? I also remember a mod that would add a button to the forum so there were two; "New Comment" "New Event"

please help as i am getting ready to upgrade to 4.1.4

I managed to get rid of the error.
I take no responsibility. BACK UP.

Based on this post http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showp...&postcount=206

Open plugin manager
FIND GETDAY_EVENT: Add RSVPs and Form to Event

Edit Plugin PHP Code

FIND function array_lower(&$item, $key)
REPLACE //function array_lower(&$item, $key)

FIND array_walk($valid_responses,'array_lower');
REPLACE //array_walk($valid_responses,'array_lower');

I also edited in the admin section Yes Maybe No to yes maybe no as well.

Edit: It's odd that it just stopped working. I'm running vB4.1.3 P2
I don't consider this a fix, just a workaround.

  • Resolved problematic array_walk usage that seemed to be causing trouble for some users on vb4.1.3+.
  • Special characters not displayed correctly in comments.
  • "Will you be able to attend on %1$s?"

I figured it out finally, after two nights.
It was my "user title", some had bad image links. Once the links were fixed all alignment was as well.
Strange.
