However, I had a look at your source code but couldn't se anything wrong straight off. Would you be able to enable the template labels so that when we look at your source code it shows what templates each section are? Like mine: http://www.gamerperfection.com - view my source code and search for 'tynt' and you will see that it shows that it is in the header template. If you do that then it will make reading your source code a lot easier.

I just noticed that their site install instructions for vBulletin differ from what is posted here, including the use of <vb:literal> and saying to put the code into the footer?

Maybe it's something to do with vBSEO, because I don't have vBSEO.

You're right, the snow is annoying ... but it's Christmas!
![]() Quote BadgerDog on the site instructions say to put it in the footer. However, I also tried in footer (only one template) and does not work I use vBSEO, so I can not activate it? No members have liked this post.

I don't know for sure, i'm just saying that it could be related to vBSEO.

With all do respect to extreme-gaming and Acidx the first person to mention this service on vBulletin.org was DieselMinded back in November 2009 - http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showp...4&postcount=64
For what it's worth I also put it in my footer because I didn't want the whole page to wait for it to load.

Can some explain to me the benefit (pro or con) of additionally checking (turning ON) the second option below?
External Link Titles, retrieve descriptive titles for URLs http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=146679 I think Tynt's ## hash stuff is getting in the way of that when links are copied internally from one place to another on our site. By the way, how can we STOP Tynt from doing any tracking on copies that stay just on our site? We're not interested in tracking data on those, just external copying. Thanks for any feedback .. ![]() Regards, Doug No members have liked this post.

The con is, as you pointed out, it adds that hash code to your links which I don't like so I don't use that option.
There would be no way for tynt to know at the time info is copied if the user intends to paste it internally or not so it will never be able to disable itself for internal linking. What would be possible would be a mod that scans all new posts for internal links and removes the hash if found but considering the limited use it may be hard to convince someone to make it. A mod like AME (Automatic Media Embedder) could probably do this with the right settings.

In the last 7 days it says:
Content has left your site: 94 times 16 new visits 88 pageviews 22 new links I really don't understand how they calculate the amount of times content has left the site- the act of copying and pasting can't possibly "trigger" anything for them to count.

I ran it on my site for the last year, I found it from the desiel guy post on my old forum which was sold november of 09, so it's not exactly a new idea ![]()

![]() This is true with any script you add, even google analytics. ![]()

If I was to simply go to your site and highlight, and control+c a chunk of text, it would show as a new link, even if I never pasted it on my site. I actually removed this mod, I don't think it helped me much. Plus it was annoying when I would copy and past info from one thread to another on my site, it would show as a new link.. I removed this script because the slowness added to my site wasn't worth the few links it would pick up. By all means, don't take my word for it, try it for yourself. Maybe it'll be a good fit for your websites. (this isn't directed at anyone I quoted, just in general)
