Forum Help
Hi,
I have a vBulletin license and used to use it a long time ago. I had it for my aorticdissection.com site and didn't get much traction. Well, now I have prostate cancer and have been going to HealingWell.com and I really like that site, especially the prostate section. I am envisioning a condensed version for my www.aorticdissection.com site and would have probably 5 topics max about the different types of Aortic Dissections, aka Ascending/Descending and both, plus another one called A day in the life of an aorticdissection survivor. I want to mirror the same functionality that HealingWell.com has, I really like the email notification when a post is done in response to a topic that I posted in. Please can someone help me or get me to the right section. Thanks, Brian ;0) No members have liked this post.

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking about. But, in vB3 and vB4, you may select to be automatically subscribed to any thread you create and then choose to get an email if someone posts in your thread. User Control Panel > General Settings > Default Thread Subscription Mode

Lynne has told you how to set your subscriptions so that you get email notifications when a reply is posted to a thread you started, and to those threads in which you have replied.
Did you explore that setting in your UserCP?

help
I don't have a forum set up. I understand how that functionality would be set. I am looking for someone (I would pay them) for help in building the structure to be like HealingWell.com or something similar for my site, www.aorticdissection.com > I don't have a forum anymore and want to get a new one started. I just found out I have Prostate Cancer and just don't have the energy to start it.
Thanks, Brian No members have liked this post.

If you are looking to pay for someone to help you build the site, you need to post in our Requests for Paid Services forum.

You should find a vB expert to do it for you as Lynne suggested. other than that you can do like I did for our web hosting forum http://forumweb.hosting mean we can choose best 5 topics to set on the forum homepage instead using forum cms in this case...or you can use a slider for that too. It is working great on my forum and I would recommend you should try that way. Just my 0.02 cents! ~Matt No members have liked this post.
