Usergroup Legend on Forumhome for vB 4 Version 1.1.1 (By Boofo) What does this product do? This product will show the user groups you have available on your site in a legend on the forumhome. It will also check to see if the 'Spiders Display on Forumhome and Who's Online' product is installed and enabled. If found, "Spiders" will be added to the end of the Legend. Credits: Thanks to LifesGreatestGift for the CSS and style variable help. Version Information: Version 1.0.0 --Initial release for vBulletin 4.1.2 Version 1.0.1 --Fixed issue with there not being enough space between the legend and activeusers when the legend was placed above activeusers. Also switched from p tags to spans tags to make it 100% XHTML 1.0 Transitional compliant. The centered legends are now centered on the full width of the wgo box, sans the left margin. Version 1.0.2 --Spider Display Font Color is now set by the style variable setting for the spider color in the 'Spiders Display on Forumhome and Who's Online' v1.0.6 mod, if it is installed. Version 1.0.3 --Removed Enable/Disable setting and added "Do not show Usergroup Legend" as the first option in the "Usergroup Legend on Forumhome Location" setting. Version 1.0.4 --Fixed full line break spacing. Version 1.0.5 --Changed the hook to avoid conflicting with Paul M's mods. Version 1.0.6 --Added 3 more location settings (Above activeusers centered with 1/2 and full line breaks). Version 1.0.7 --Added Usergroup Separator setting. You can now choose from 10 different separators to show between the usergroups. Version 1.0.8 --Added 2 more separators to the separator setting, for a total of 12. (vertical bar and horizontal ellipsis = three dot leader) Version 1.0.9 --Fixed legend from being pushed too far left if the line was too long. Added setting for usergroups allowed to view the legend. Removed "Do not show Usergroup Legend" as the first option in the "Usergroup Legend on Forumhome Location" setting. Added setting to show "Spiders" at the end of the legend. Added setting to show Spider Image as a separator before "Spiders" in the legend. Version 1.1.0 --Added style variable to change the color of the legend separator. Rewrote code to add CSS instead of coding it all inline. Version 1.1.1 --Fixed CSS as it was showing the usergroups stacked in IE. Also added a phrase for the word "Spiders". Installation Overview: ----------------------------------------------------- 1 Product XML (2 Plugins, 24 phrases, 1 CSS Template, 6 settings and 1 Style Variable) Installation Instructions: ----------------------------------------------------- 1. Go to your Admin CP Scroll down to 'Plugins & Products' Click 'Manage Products' Click 'Add/Import Product' Click the 'Browse' button, and locate the 'product-boofo_legend.xml' file on your computer 2. Go to your Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> 'Usergroup Legend on Forumhome' and set the following options: Usergroup Legend on Forumhome Display Order: Enter the usergroupids in the order you want them to display. (Default is '6,5,7,2') Usergroup Legend on Forumhome Location: Choose the location you want the Usergroup Legend on Forumhome to show up in. (Default is 'Below activeusers with 1/2 line break (centered)') Usergroup Legend on Forumhome Separator: Choose the separator you want to show between the usergroups. (Default is 'Star - solid') Usergroup Legend on Forumhome View Usergroups: These usergroups can view the Usergroup Legend. (Default is '0' = all usergroups) Enable Spiders in Usergroup Legend on Forumhome: Click Yes if you want Spiders to show in the Usergroup Legend on Forumhome. (Default is 'No') Show Spider Image as Separator for Spiders: Click Yes if you want the spider image to show before Spiders in the legend instead of the legend separator. (Default is 'No') Note: You must have the "Spiders Display on Forumhome and Who's Online" mod installed for the above 2 Spider options to work. 3. Style Variable: Go to your Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> Style Variable Editor -> Click Go Button -> Boofo -> boofo_legend_separator_color Enter a hex color code or web-safe color for the usergroup separator (Examples: hex code: #FF0000 or web-safe color: red) Note: You will need to do this for all styles. ----------------------------------------------------- Done! Enjoy!

As far as this being the same thing as the other mod, they are not even close in what they can do. This mod has many more locations available, for one thing. No members have liked this post.

Installed and working perfectly.
One request though: Is it possible to make the legend clickable? in other words I click on the Administrator and and it will take you to the member page of who belongs in that group? Or I click on Registered users and it takes you to the page listing all the members who belong in that group? They have this on phpBB. No members have liked this post.

Thanks.
I installed it on my forum ( http://www.mythtvtalk.com/forum/ ) but all the usergroups are written in the same color. Any idea on what to do to fix it? Thanks No members have liked this post.

Take a look at this short tutorial. Enter Admin CP --> Usergroups --> Usergroup Manager <Edit usergroup> for every usergroup you would like to edit. Click on the GO button. When the permission page loads go to <Username HTML Markup > option. You will find there two empty boxes. In the first one write:
Change the font settings as you wish for the usergroup. #FF0000 is the html color, this is what you are looking for. For more color htmls take a look here and replace the #FF0000 with whatever you like. In the second one write:
Take a look at the attached screenshot. Hope I was useful and helped. Regards! The following members like this post: bosanci28
