Not Supported Uses Plugins Auto-Template  

Purpose
This plugin allows control of how "Special" Threads are displayed by allowing their prefixes and their styles to be changed.

Ever scanned through a list of threads and missed one because it didn't quite stand out enough? Now you can make important threads appear quite differently to other threads so that they will really stand out!

Thanks (and apologies) to Ziki, Xplorer4x4 and Atakan KOC for doing things that gave me close to what I wanted,... But as usual , I wanted more ;-)

Installation
Import XML file (as product): AdminCP > Plugin System > Manage Products > [Add/Import Product]

Options
To set Mod options go to: AdminCP > vBulletin Options > Sorky - Thread List Formatting

Versions
v1.0.0 - 18th of July, 2008 = Launch (click here)
v1.0.1 - 21st of July, 2008 = Removed (was only temporary)
v1.1.0 - 22nd of July, 2008 = Added functionality (click here)

V1.0.0 Features
  • Change the style (set a different background colour) : Sticky, Poll, Moved, Deleted or Moderated Threads.
  • Change the thread prefix (set colour or text) : Sticky, Poll, Moved, Deleted or Moderated Threads.
  • make the thread prefix BLINK (always or only if new) : Sticky or Poll Threads. (Note : Works in IE and FF)
  • Add a "separator" after the sticky threads and before all the rest of the threads.
Tips
If the following templates have been modified from their original, either "revert" them or test this Mod carefully before use:
  • threadbit
  • threadbit_deleted
  • FORUMDISPLAY
  • tag_search
WishList - Other Ideas
  • Flash the format (low - looks pretty bad)
  • Format normal threats based on User-Defined prefixes

There is one problem. when I install this hack, the tag search templates such as this
http://www.scorechase.com/gmat/tags....at+parallelism

(gray is not a color set by me)

This gets discolored however there is no option in the mod to change the colors of these templates.

Mmmm - Tags.php shares the template but does NOT share the hook... I'd say that is a bug for vBulletin.

I've tweaked my PlugIn to allow for that bug so that you at least get the original formatting back.

Removed as it was only temporary / a full solution is in 1.1.0

1) Got the PlugIn to work with the "Tags" search

2) Allowed the 'separator line' to have some formatting applied so that it can be made thinner

3) Other minor coding and commenting adjustments
