This plugin restricts a certain browser from accessing your site.When that browser tries to access your site an alert will say that the browser is not supported and will close the window.

Thanks for this, awesome hack to force more to download FF or Opera!!!

Ban any user that uses IE is the way to go , there can be some benefits of it actually to keep them bots from trying to sign-up and spam your forums if you don't use CAPTCHA you know! A lot do use the IE library so this is a very useful hack indeed.

Possibilities of add-ons to this hack:

1. Perhaps a nice redirect to Mozilla or Opera would be a nice addition to this....
2. Multi-select which browser(s) are banned rather than just ONE type...

i agree with those suggestions by blogtorank...

someone comes to the site, gets a message saying "What is your problem" (phrase it if it's not already phrases) then then some text below this (settable in ACP?) where the admin can type whatever they want...like a paragraph about why firefox is better and a link....

I don't like the idea how it closes windows. What happens if someone has few tabs open in the same window, loads the site with this hack installed, and then closes the whole window with the tabs. That would kinda sucks.

If anything this will drive members away from your forum because they might have to use a browser they are not comfitable with.
