Profile Fields = Hyperlinks

Is there anyway to make custom profile fields become hyperlinks? For example If I wanted a profile field where the users would enter their twitter name. Is it possible to make it so it could then be hyperlinked to the twitter profile. If so, how would I go about doing it?
