What this is and does

LDM is a general-purpose tool for managing libraries of links and files, and handling uploads and downloads in a flexible way, while tracking and control user access. It has a range of integrated media players and a large library of 'plugin' extras.

Installation and Usage Explained in the on-line Wiki, with a brief explanation in the file instructions.txt in the release zip. The recent revision history is given in the first post of this thread.

Please use carefully and always backup your database before upgrading. Post reports of problems and suggestions for enhancements in this thread.

14.06.09 Version 2.3.0 is now the the officially-supported version. Works with 3.7 and vb 3.8. Please post comments in this thread

22.06.08 Version 2.2.9-post1 - This is the previous supported version. Works fine with all versions of vb 3.6 and vb 3.7. All standard features except profile integration and forum prefix selection work fine with vb 3.8.

Is it possible to do that? Modern with a link to this page: http://www.pspcrazy.com/forums/local...tid=15&lpage=1 that's all i really need as the new short seems a bit too minimal for my own preferences. Thanks
I can add another linkbit, yes. Ideally, I'd like to get LDM to a stage where you can easily do this yourself.

[QUOTE=pspcrazy;1421642]Oh and yea something is wrong with he new version's top 10: http://www.pspcrazy.com/forums/local_links.php

Nothing's changed here, as far as I know. What's wrong?

I'll add these to the list for 2.2.9. Bear in mind that these 'top 10 lists' add to the cost of running LDM - extra database access, extra cpu, so they should be optional.

Yea of course they would be added items. Well you probably don't notice the top 10 being odd, but before it had it's own box, and was not in any way stretched to the full screen size, rather it was in it's own box. Did you do any changes to it? Thanks.

As for the linkbit thanks!

Yes, I made that change. It's a request from others and makes the design look more consistent with other parts of vbulletin. The full box will also contain other information before the final version of 2.2.9

Any chance to have a plugin that adds some random images from the downloads... and another one that shows latest additions inside ldm main page?

Oh... inside LDM, please!

Similar to that filmstrip plugin, but maybe to add a whole table with random images, and another one with the latest additions... same, to be able to use the resize function to make smaller images and maybe show 6 images in each table.

Thanks Andrew!

Does it link with points system

I am not seeing the links in the regular forums. Does the points system (vbcredits, vbplaza) integrate with this mod?

uploading docs etc

Andrew it all installed nicely thank you.
I tried a test upload document
but when I'd filleed out an upload form I couldn't see a Browse button to upload with.
Is it not poss to upload direct from the desktop?

It looks like I have to upload stuff to the site outside LDM
then LDM can link to the file
but while I can do that my users can't.
I want them to be able to upload pics and documents.

????

You have to enable uploading via the ldm/admin/settings pages and then give the relevant usergroups upload permission via the ldm/admin/permissions page

Is there a possibility to show a thumbnail of each link as well e.g. with this:

http://www.thumbshots.org/

Tried to install the code of thumbshots.org in the description field, but it has no effect.

The 'extra' directory in the release zip has plugins for snap and bluga.net which do similar things. I haven't tested them recently but they should work.

What sort of error? I've just tried it and it worked for me.

Blug's webthumbs come with a free allowance per month. Is my programming time less valuable?
