I've used PostNuke in the past, but have moved to VB & VBAdvanced.

A true CMS for VB would be great!

sometimes you just have to fork out money and have a custom CMS built like I did for my site = 100 % vbulletin ran!

vbdrupal here. support is slow, but effective.
took me a long time, which suffered hitloss, to get 100% working.
but, once it's up & running properly - it is a decent setup, and there is a supplied skin for vbdrupal which integrates the entire site & forum together - give it a more 'planned out' appeal, than say a CMS with one skin while VB works with another.

vBadvanced for about two years now and loving it!

Now I have a second site that is set up with Joomla however, and I'm wondering if it's going to be a pain to integrate it with vB. =/

We use Joomla and WordPress. Both are integrated with vBulletin so a user only has to log on once and can access resources in all three sections.

For the Joomla integration with vBulletin we use jvbplugin by bbpixel and for the WordPress - Joomla integration we use OpenWP.

If anyone would like to see what this looks like, our website is Voxilla.com.

We also have all this working with vBSEO on the vBulletin side and OpenSEF on the Joomla side.

I've just finished and installed a custom portal on my main site, but it isn't really a CMS in any sense of the word as it literally just takes content from the forums and displays it on a portal page. I'm still using vBAdvanced on my secondary site though.

None, but I wouldn't want one that makes the site homepage look like a portal, that looks so boring and unoriginal.

I'm thinking about a custom made CMS for the site because most of the CMS software ou there isn't what i'm looking for in a CMS.

I love the way iJoomla looks, and some of the Drupal sites I've seen have been simply amazing. But both platforms were too complicated for me, and developers I spoke with wanted to charge a fortune.

For now, I have Subdreamer integrated with vB on one site (www.DDRFitClub.com ). It works fine for that site since there won't be much content updating.

For my other sites, however, I need more content 'management' features, so I'm looking into having a bridge created between Expression Engine and vB. that would be the ideal for me.

i used vbadvanced. i like it and its user friendly.. and it seems that many hacks support it or somone builds a module to work w/ it if needed.

when you say cmps isnt a true portal.. what do you consider real portal or whats it missing? just curious if im missing the boat on somthing.
