Not Supported Template Edits Re-usable Code

This was the best solution to have more navbar links I saw so far.

Edit "navbar" template, find

Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)
Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.

add before

Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)
Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.

and change the links as you like :P

edit: you can use this to put a link for the admincp in the navbar

I really love this! I have a few extra features on my site that I have to have links to, so having this second bar is very awesome!

My only problem is that for some reason, when I try to add in the second nav bar and hit the "Save" button to save the nav bar template, it just keeps acting like it's trying to load but doesn't. It won't save or load at all, for some reason. Everything else is working perfectly fine, so I know it's not my site.

I don't know why it's not saving :ermm:

This mode has already been done. I wrote this mode almost two years ago and have been updating it ever sense. It works with 3.5 and allows drop down menus and more.

The only difference is that this hack here is all done in the current navbar.
The hack I created adds an addition navbar in your templates so when you want to make changes you do not have to go into the default navbar and worry about messing any code up. All you have to do is create a template for the second navbar and add a hook location in you ADMINCP and add a one line code to you default navbar and you are done.

The one I wrote discusses 4 different locations where the second navbar can go and explains where to put the code for the location you choose.

You can do the same thing as described in this hack and put it in your default navbar. But I find it easy to have a second navbar template to edit. It is your choice.

You can see this more here:

I have a question in regards to this mod. I hard coded a few links into my top nav bar. They show up and work fine when I am logged in but some of them disappear when I log out and viewing the forum as a guest.

Why? I need them to show up all the time.

Thanks,

Joey

I could help you but you would have to be more specific on what the code is that is not showing up or I would have to look at it.
