smilies in social gropups (SOLVED)
Hello, I would like to ask for some help please.
I never noticed it before but a member on our community has just asked why he can't use smilies in his Social Group. This is happening with the default vB4 2.2.2 PL2 skin I checked in the admin and couldn't find anything related to Social Groups and smilies, I have searched this site and cannot find anything about it. This no doubt is just me being a dunce here but does anyone know how we enable smilies in the editor for Social Groups and if so would you tell me how to do it please. Thank you in advance for any help, be well and safe journeys. No members have liked this post.

Do smilies not work in the posts at all like when you enter :) , or are you talking about the smilie button or menu at the bottom of the editor? Or maybe the post icons that look like smilies? I'm just trying to figure out which area to look at.

Thank you for your reply, the smilies do not work at all in social groups.
They do not appear in posts even when using :) and there is no button for smilies in the editor. No members have liked this post.

In the admincp options under "BB Code Settings", what do you have for "Allow Smilies in Non Forum Specific Areas"? It seems that if that's set to No then you can't use smilies in social group posts.
