This little code will change the background color of your moderated threads/posts to make it easy to spot by you and your Mods.
It helps with busy forums. I tested it on vB 4.2.0 but should work on older versions. I use postbit_legacy. Install: Step 1: In postbit_legacy template look for:
Replace it with:
Step 2 Also, in additional.css, add this code
Change the background color to what you prefer If you enjoy my mod, please consider marking it as "Installed". Any comments are welcome. Download Now Only licensed members can download files, Click Here for more information. Screenshots Show Your Support

The owner of a forum where I provide tech support wanted this. After installing it for her, I realized how handy it is. Now using it on 4 forums.

Is the coloring visible to all, or just mods and admins?

Just mods and admins. If a post is in moderation, no one else except mods and admins can even see the post.

Odd problem
As I noted above, I'm now using this on four vBulletin 4.2.0 PL3 forums.
It's working perfectly on 3 of those. However, on the 4th it isn't working at all. Using this code at the top of additional.css:
Any ideas as to why this would NOT work on that one forum? What are the likely conflicts that might prevent it from working? Fixed: Never mind. I had forgotten to make the edit in the postbit template on the problematic forum. ![]()

Anyway to use this in conjunction with this hack: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=247094
So that the moderated posts have a different background color for mods and admins but look normal for the post author.

I just tried this on my 4.2.2 forum and it didn't work. Did I do something wrong?
