Compatibility
If I install vb4 will it be compatible with todays specs? I just hate vb 5 and xenforo looks just as bad. Vb4 was the best and I'd like to still be able to use it. Thanks

vBulletin 4 is compatible and will run under PHP 7.1
There are those of us that have modified the core files and are now running under PHP 7.4.x There are many threads on this already...

Some of us don’t have the time to search deeply but thanks for the heads up.

Then just hire a PHP developer. It takes zero knowledge of vBulletin to fix the compatibility issues.
You could even look at the PHP error log file and see which file and where the problem is and post to places like stackexchange.com

No I meant in regards that it was posted on the forum that vb4 is compatible with newest version of php. Installing it is easy. I do have a question though that maybe you can help me out with. Is there a way to import xenforo database to vb4? I’m currently using xenforo but I just don’t like it so I want to install my vbulletin and import the users and content.

The best guess is this:
https://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=283111 However I am sure much has changed since between both platforms requiring this script to be modified. Your one major issue with this sort of migration is passwords. If you can migrate, you will need to do something like: https://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=303731
