How would I remove Additional Options

How would I remove Additional Options when creating a new thread/post?
I think it is bulky and unactractive.
Maybe have it "minimized" and clicking an arrow would expand it
Does anyone have a mod that would do this
I tried searching around for something, with no luck

Thanks

The "additional options" template code appears in several templates see template category "New Posting Templates".
To disable globally on all styles and templates:

Create plugin at hook: "fetch_template_complete"

Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)
Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.

You should make some kind of plugin that has the options to disable this per group I am sure many will use

Or a tick box in userprofile/settings.

With you on that. I personally dont like deleting code incase i need it again later on. A tick box would suit us for sure!

You're making a copy of a system template, which can be reverted back to later, and making the change.

Further, there is a view history / view default link.

No reason not to delete the code.

@Zachery, what your saying is 100% right and I get your point -- the end result in this case is the same. The outputted html is the same whether it is deleted or not due to the conditional in the template. In this particular case the code I gave, I consider incomplete. Beginners believe there is too much clutter and although very true, advanced users need these options. In truth, the template and code needs to be revised to use the standard reply editor, it is what I have done for the board I oversee -- thus having the 'advanced editor' button. @Zachery, I think your input was valid and needed here, because many users do not use the history system. Thanks for your advice.

When I have time, I will try to present the changes that I have implemented in the corporate board that I oversee. Sorry, it will not be a 'modification' due to my company's TOS and my position within the company. I doubt my changes could have been implemented into a modification, not without adding additional code hooks. I will see what I can do. I feel your need brothers.
