Finding Feedback Can be Like a Needle in a Haystack

The more your forum grows, the more of a challenge it becomes to sort through the history and get the full story.

Product Review Forums Brings Structure to the Chaos

As a full-featured product management addon, PRF sits on top of your forum allowing you to create defined products which, unlike individual posts, stay relevant over time. Each comment, review and even product updates filter back into this one spot allowing for a quick and comprehensive overview while the individual discussions rage on as always.

Here's just a few of the many features you'll find in PRF:
  • Bring structure to products with established pages & reviews
  • Reduce the number of repetitive posts from members looking up the same info
  • Increase your traffic with content-rich, seo friendly, product listings
  • Drive revenue by adding your own affiliate links to product listings
  • Increase the activity stream's value with review integration
  • Engage visitors with integrated wishlists from Giftery.me
===========================

Installation is not upload & go... individualized settings are required. Read the install file.

===========================
QUICK TIPS:
===========================

Enabling Product Forums: To show product details and ratings, each product-forum must be enabled in the forum manager.

Adding Products: You may upload products one at a time through the admin [includes an image uploader using GD] or you can bulk import through XML. You can also enable users to add moderated products through a global and usergroup option.

Product Review Index: To access your forum's product overview go to www.yoursite.com/productforums.php - You may want to add a link to this to your navbar or as a tab.

Customization: This addon is made to be customized. To change the color schema see clientscript/vbulletin_css or dive right on in to the templates and phrases.

Powered by Giftery.me: This mod is maintained includes two integrations you should know about. Both can be controlled through the mod options.

If you had just looked at the whiteboard in the conference room it's all mapped out and explained with flawless logic. Except I suppose you can't quite see that

Glad it's working out. Still digging into prefixes however...

Looks like I got beat to the answer but please be sure to review the install guide if you have not done so already. I know it's long but there's a few critical settings required to actually make this work.

Question Review item categories

Review item categories?

Is it possible to create separate categories such as:

Product Reviews
|--> Parachute gear
|--> Rock climbing gear
|--> Surfing gear

This way I can have some sort of organization...?

Sounds like I need to clean up the introduction a bit... Let's try this:

PRF has two elements: products and reviews. Products are the master to which reviews are made, thus there needs to be a product before there can be a review.

You can structure product forums literally however you want with 3 even levels
- Gear 1
- Gear 2
- Gear 3

Or you could nest levels to be even more specific

- Gear 1
--- Gear 1 subset a
--- Gear 1 subset b
- Gear 2
- Gear 3
--- Gear 3 subset a

Reviews will always be appended to product threads as posts plus you can optionally elect to have them create a new thread to just one forum.

Does that make sense? Does it accomplish your goal?

p.s. I'm an avid climber, diver, etc so if that's a real example shoot me over your forum url, I'd love to check it out.

This is what is in the database for the content of this post: http://www.pipesmokerscubby.com/show...r-Smoking-Pipe

Savinelli, the worlds No.1 selling pipe Ferrari have given the Italians a reasonable edge in the world of motoring but that’s not all they strive at. Since 1876 Savinelli have kept the Italians at the pinnacle of the pipe manufacturing game! Putting the Italian legacy behind us for a minute if you where to look at the Savinelli range you could be forgiven for thinking they are a classic high end British made pipe. We have received a number of comments over the years from our high end pipe customers who believe the quality of the briar and the finish of Savinelli pipes exceed what is strongly regarded as the epitome of the pipe world and they don’t demand the same price tag (No names mentioned as we are British through and through) Savinelli Tortuga 207 The Savinelli Tortuga 207 is a classic straight Apple 6mm smoking pipe with a stunning black, Sandblast finish on the bowl and contrasting tortoise shell effect, tapered, mouthpiece. The Apple shape is arguably the most comfortable bowl shape for most palms and the briar wall stays thickest where it is needed the most, which helps keep the pipe cool along with the smoke. Ash cap As soon as we saw the Savinelli Tortuga we had to have them. We’ve seen pipes with lids before but nothing this high end. Each Tortuga comes with a hand fitted lid, in a stunning tortoise shell effect to match the mouthpiece. The base of the lid is made from a fire proof rubber so you can plug the pipe mid smoke and bury your pipe in your pocket so the boss doesn’t catch you smoking. Balsa wood filter Unique to Savinelli is their Balsa wood filter system. The triangular shape does not form a seal in the bore of the pipe so allows an un-restricted full flavoured draw but the extremely porous and highly absorbent nature of the Balsa wood is very effective at removing moisture and impurities form the smoke. And for those who prefer a totally unfiltered smoke Savinelli provide a plug to block the system.

Hi,

Installed and works perfectly on vBulletin 4.2.0.

Everything works but I have a issue. When someone write a review, the post created has the review comments duplicated.

Writing the review.

Thanks!
