Description
VB Pro Garage Timeslips (formerly CND Garage/Timeslips) is a free vehicle and timeslips add on for vBulletin 4. This is a great way to allow members to show off their rides, whether they are cars, motorcycles, atv's, etc. Site administrators have dozens of options to tailor the way the garage is displayed and the number of vehicles, images and timeslips the user can enter. User vehicle creation is done through a simple screen with dropdowns and simple text fields. Users can enter either miles or km and system will automatically calculate differences for front page statistics.

** New Features **

* SEO Friendly URLs (htaccess only)
* Page Caching - physical html files which make a HUGE reduction in sql queries
* Front Categories - a category system as an alternate front page to the block layout. I believe it will increase the garage ranking in search engines greatly when used with SEO URL's and the included dynamic meta tags.
* Thread Creation - Automatically create new threads in the forum of your choosing with the text of your choosing when a new vehicle is created in the garage.

Main Features

* No vb template modification needed
* Ajax driven menu's to keep load time down if you have a very large lists of makes/models
* Usergroup level permissions to set the amount of vehicles, images, timeslips allowed
* 99.9% of the text is phrased so that it can be translated for multinational sites
* On the fly image/text watermarking ability to make sure images are tied to your site
* Lytebox image presentation

Installation
Instructions, tips and more are now in the included chm file. If you have problems with the chm I have the document published at:
http://www.vbprogarage.com/forums/docs/html_vb4_ts_300/

The quick and dirty install:
1) Upload all files in the upload folder
2) Import vb_pro_garage.xml into Product Manager
3) Import vb_pro_garage_language_english.xml into Languages & Phrases
4) If you want all makes and models I've collected, import vb_pro_garage_vehicles^^new_install_only.xml into Product Manager

Post Installation
So you don't have to find it in the instructions. After install, there is a button up top in the navbar. This button by default is admin only. This is so you can configure and test without having to close the garage. When you are ready to deploy to the community:
ACP->Settings->Options->Garage General Settings - Set Garage Menu Button to Enabled.

The garage is developed on vb 4.0.7 and tested back to 4.0.0. The garage will run on PHP 5.x+ compiled with GD/GD2 and MySQL 5.x+

Additional options for the garage like adding featured businesses that support your site, fuel tracking, dyno charts, modifications and lots more are included in the commercial version.

Many thanks to Coroner for his stylebridge which led me on a path that saved me hours and hours of template editing

You right there friend!... So you never found a copy of the Pro? About a year ago was going to buy a copy of the pro ,but changed my mine on the forum that i was going to open ,but if i had one was going to help!
Now i am almost ready to open a forum and i am in need of a car garage side, and will have to wait to see when Action-N will come out with his script or maybe just install this free one and go from there.

Yeah Kendude whose attention where you trying to get? I'm subscribed to this post so I get all the notices, but not much more I can do for this add-on. I've wanted to tell you start bugging last superman because he said as long as the product works an has community support it won't go to the graveyard. So I stopped trying to help so it can rest in piece.

I've been working on an alternative almost everyday after work (some days fall asleep at the keyboard) to get something out there. I imagine I could have released a simple bare bones version by now, but I wanted to have everything so I didn't have numerous versions. An actually was gonna check with you as I took ideas from your wishlist. Is it a must have for vin searching? I've added the VIN field an one for horsepower already, just not searchable. I still have to workout editing comments, an started coding for activity stream. Still need to start the sideblocks an those importers people will be wanting.

Guess I should update my website with a more recent project.

I appreciate you working on this and if your plug-in has the ability to import everything (Cars, mods, pictures, business, etc.) from vbprogarage then I'd certainly consider it. Yes the VIN field must be searchable because what happens is someone buys a car and they want to know if the prior owner was a member of the website, what history of the car might already exist. If they can go into the garage and search by vin they can see if the car has been entered previously. In fact it would be a great feature if when someone tried to enter a new car and it's VIN matched a car already in the database it would ask if they want to add-on to the car's record and take over ownership of the vehicle in some way keeping a lineage of the car. That might be a bit much to ask for in your first version, but I think you see what I mean by that. So yes, in short the VIN# would have to be searchable which vbprogarage supported.

As for a HP field you better have a link for a dyno sheet along with that.

As far as photo uploads go, it would be nice to have the option of either discreet photos managed by the plug-in, meaning uploaded to some folder structure associated with the plug-in, or use VB Albums instead, or us VBGallery/PhotoPost member categories/galleries instead, or even use VB forum attachments. I dislike having photos uploaded via a variety of means and stored in a bunch of different places/ways.

I gave Dylan lots of input during the old CNDGarage/Timeslips days and even on up into vbprogarage.

You must be the only person on the planet he has emailed because he hasn't responded to anyone on his website, not in the forum, not in PM and not to emails sent to him.

You are INCORRECT in that you cannot get the latest from his website, there is no way to obtain a copy of 3.0.9 FULL version from his site.

It's like one big tease...

I recently moved my website to a new server that runs a later version of MSQL and suddenly I can't upload pictures into my garage.

Not sure if one has anything to do with the other but everything else seems to be working.

Someone take over this Garage mod and make it yours. Adopt it and fix it for everyone. Many, many, many forums out there are based on cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, quads, jet-skis, etc., etc. any kind of vehicle. And since there is no other supported garage mod out there available, anyone could just corner that market and monopolize it.

I'm surprised that someone hasn't already recognized this yet. Look at how long this thread is, everyone is screaming and begging for someone to help them with this mod, how many of those and others that we don't know about would drop this mod and go to a better working version of it?...the whole market.

I am nearly ready to release my 'garage' addon. I posted a prerelease version on the thread linked in my signature. If I can stop adding to it it would just need a few phrases worded an be done.
