Wordpress vBulletin integration
![]() Developer Last Online: May 2014 ![]() ![]() ![]()
Integrate your vBulletin forum with Wordpress.
The lite version of this Wordpress vBulletin bridge allows your Wordpress posts to be posted to vBulletin. This is a Wordpress plugin that facilitates this functionality. Just install it in your WP plugin folder and set up the path to your vBulletin installation. As long as the forum is on the same server, this works well. No need to combine the databases. No need to modify core WP files. It's that easy! All of your Wordpress posts will be posted in your forum. You will designate a forum to take these posts. If you have sub forums that match the name of the category of the Wordpress post, this plugin will automatically put the post there. The full version, available at wp-vb-bridge.obscurecloud.com// allows more functionality to fully integrate your Wordpress and vBulletin including: Wordpress->vB features:
vBulletin ->Wordpress features *NEW*
This is still a work in progress so the code will be updated often. Feel free to let me know how it works, additional features you'd like, and if you have any problems. Here is a guide from a user: Thanks a bunch for putting this together BAJR Quick Guide. First unpack the folder into plugins, where all the files and sub folders should reside in [wb-vb] folder. now in Wordpress Plugins, activate the plugin and then go to Settings --> WP Vb integration Essentials are as follows: (everything else you can play with!) 1) Path to vBulletin. / means the Vbulletin Forum is in your root folder. ie www.mysite.com/ /forum/ means the Vbulletin Forum is in a folder called forum. ie www.mysite.com/forum/ ALWAYS add the trailing / 2) Activate login sync feature [check box] 3) Activate post sync feature [check box] 4) Forum ID - this is the NUMBER of your desired linked forum ( sub forums are added from this) so look at your vbulletin URL http://mysite.com/forumdisplay.php?6-The-Forum the ID would be 6 5) vBulletin user id to assign posts to - this is numerical as well. so ID number of who you want to add these too. 6) vBulletin -> Wordpress Settings Add vBulletin plugins ... click add 7) go back up and click [TEST] - if all is well you should see... vB loaded Plugins - 1|1|1|1|1|1|1 8) SAVE CHANGES... Any example live sites we can look at? I run a heavily trafficked site. I want to do thorough research before adding this plug-in.
I dont really care about it posting to threads. I just want to add news and let my members comment on articles. No members have liked this post.

Anyway to get this to work on v 4.0.2?
I'm getting the following error when I try to make a WP post after I activate the plugin: Fatal error: Call to undefined method vB_Database: ![]() No members have liked this post.

Yes, I paid for the plugin, so found out the hard way. I have over 1 million posts/70,000 members, so as you can imagine, having supported plugins, scripts etc is essential. I have sent multiple emails to the developer and also offered to pay for support, still waiting for a response... No members have liked this post.

Hopefully things will get kick started here again soon.

I am still supporting this plugin. Did I get in over my head? Yes, but only because of how I was supporting my customers. I would spend inordinate amounts of time helping people troubleshoot their server issues to make sure they were up and running.
I will not do that anymore. I've given refunds to the people who i cannot or do not want to help. I still help customers with their issues. If you have an issue with this plugin not working for you, let me know and I'll do everything i can to get you up and running or give you your money back. My email is [email protected] and my skype is obscurecloud. I do not have time to check this forum regularly, so if you need help, use skype or email please and I will get you taken care of. Sorry to ask you something that may be answered in the first post but I want to make sure.
I have a WP site and a vB4 forum and: - I want both user databases to be in sync (when someone on the forum registers, it will make a WP username with the same name). - In the WP I have a news section where people can comment (with regular WP comments). I want the comments to be replicated both ways: when someone posts in WP, it'll be posted automatically on vB on the corresponding thread. When someone goes to the corresponding thread and posts there, a comment will be made on the WP news post. - I also have pages in WP, I want the same both-way comment functionality. Will the Pro version allow this? I'm using the Spanish version of Wordpress, will this be an issue? Thanks. No members have liked this post.

Updates????
Am looking for this type of plugin... Any updates on 4.2.1 compatibility or general thought on whether it works well enough to install? Only 6 votes?

I can tell you that I have done the members sync and that worked, I have not tested the post/threads integration and don't have any plans to. We haven't gone live with it yet since we are working on some other things first. No members have liked this post.
