Interesting that he has visited and posted today, but, doesn't have the balls to address the problem or defend himself in this thread.

although i gave him a email about this thread also, another pm sent to him telling him to pay and maybe see the thread.

BTW Rich, he might be lying but i gave him the chance to go along with his story and pay in the end. He himself posted a deadline and his story here and then did his old trick of vanishing from the scene while still posting here and o his site. He only knows best what he is doing.

That "returned" check shows the writers signature. Seeing as it is a checking account, every past check is on file. (For a minimum of one year.) They could easily compare the fraudulent checks against past checks for signature comparison.

So, I am saying that he has lied. He either wrote the bad checks, or he was never robbed in the first place and made the entire thing up.
Well spotted Rich by your step-brother, good to see his lame excuses and lies blown out the water. At least now we know he's a total fraud and hopefully nobody will go anywhere near this guy for a custom hack again in the future.

well only thing i fell for that.
and i see he asked for the project after me. And he told me he was in jail then or something.

well i don't know how he can be pressurized now to pay. If he had any intention to pay he would have replied by now with atleast a newer excuse. and i am afraid that a guy with a tag of master coder under his name will do this to lot other people. I know vb guys have a rule of not trusting titles, but not trusting a so called master coder?

You can have him criminally charged with larceny/fraud. You paid for a service that wasn't rendered, and the funds were never returned. I would look into getting all of his info, like his full name and location, and then chatting with the local authorities or perhaps even chat with paypal. They may be able to assist you further if you describe the entire ordeal, and let them know that you wish to follow through with criminal charges. I bet some police knocking on his door will get his attention!

The coder status only tells something about the number of released modifications here at vbulletin.org and how many have clicked install for those.

It does not tell anything about the person (or even the quality of his/her work).

PS that also goes the other way round: Someone without a title can still be very good in what they do.

acerulezz, i only donated 10 bucks to him for the work he had claimed he did on talkerbot.

Why hasen't this forum banned him?
That would be to easy of a punishment, i think the humilation of people knowing you are a thief, far out way's a person being banned from a site and nobody knowing he is a thief.....

280$. He paid me 20 back the first time i made this thread.

yes marco i do know that. Having said that though, my only point was that the title to a new guy will convey the impression of someone who is a master at his work(it might be difficult for the regulars or the seniors to maybe imagine this, but i would have to say that thats maybe how newbies to this board may see it). lets not go into that though. Its not the issue right now.
