Login IP Address Tracking
![]() Developer Last Online: Nov 2022 ![]() ![]() ![]()
Description
This is my very first time releasing a vBulletin Modification. This modification involves every user account automatically having their current IP Address recorded after each successful login through a custom profile field. This will allow administrators to better track where the login attempts are coming from, especially if there is an account that has security issues (i.e. Someone claiming that there account was hacked, ect...). This modification has been tested on vBulletin 3.8.0, 3.8.10, and 4.2.3 Main Features
1. Go to your AdminCP >>> User Profile Fields >>> Add New User Profile Field
2. Go to your AdminCP >>> Plugins & Products >>> Add New Plugin
Replace field24 with the field id that represents the profile field that you created in step 1, and then save your plugin. Operational Checklist

Hi,
Is there a way to change it so it adds all the Login IP addresses to that field, separated by a comma or each IP on their own line rather than constantly replacing it with the current login IP? Thank you No members have liked this post.

You should be very wary of doing that, you could end up with a very big string, and that would cause issues.

That was my initial concern as well, but it is worth R&D'ing.
