Some Facebook Connect questions...

I'm not much of a Facebook user, but most of the people that go to my forum are. I keep glancing at the Facebook Connect stuff, and I think I get the general idea of it, but I wanted to ask a few questions here about it.

I guess, the first thing would be... what does it actually do/change about my forum? From what I gather, it allows a user to log into my forum using their Facebook login details.

Does this mean that whenever a user logs into Facebook (if their account is linked or whatever) that they are also logged into my forum? Like, when they log into FaceBook, would they appear on my "Who's Online" or "What's Going On?" on the forum?

I see that I can enable "Auto-registration" for Facebook users, as well. Can I change the primary usergroup to which they belong? I.E., instead of having them become "Registered users," have them become "Facebook Users?" Or would I have to write my own plugin for this? (I understand there is an option to add them to an additional usergroup, but I was wanting primary.)

Does any addition Facebook stuff appear on my site, other than the connect button? Is it like that stuff on other sites where people make Facebook comments, or is taht something else altogether.

What, really, is the benefit of Facebook Connect other than the "Auto-Registration?" I mean, from what I understand of it (which is admittedly very little), all it does is enable a different way of logging into the forum.

Sorry, I know all these questions sound really noobish, but the only things I could find while searching were tutorials on how to enable it, and not really any info on what it does other than allow FB users to log in with an alternate method. X3

I just allows them to register easier and to click Like and have it post to their wall. They don't login to Facebook and end up automatically logged into your forum also.

Try a search before posting for help. Many users won't, and don't, help if the question has been answered several times before.

If I post some CSS and don't say where it goes, put it in the additional.css template.
I will NOT help via PM (you will be directed to post in the forums for help.)
