I just updated this to version 4.07, and for whatever reason it breaks the "What's New". When I use the default style everything is fine, and my what's new appear properly.

Any thoughts? All I get using this style is "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms."


Incidentally, to upgrade I selected "merge into", not new style. Edit: I tried both installation methods and both ways this style's What's New is broken. I reinstalled the old vb4 and What's New is fine.

Hi WF, thanks for the feedback. I show that the "What's New" link goes to /search.php?do=getdaily&contenttype=vBForum_Post that's also the same as they use on vbulletin.com. Can you see if it's the same on your old vb4? If not, we can always replace the link on vb4 blue with the one that works.

Okay, you will find those in the navbar template if you do a search for do=getdaily and replace them with do=getnew I remember having to mess with this before because getdaily wasn't working for me, seemingly the opposite of your issue. Hopefully this will resolve it for you. Besides this were there any other issues, layout, etc?

There don't seem to be any other issues otherwise. I'm thinking I noticed this issue in particular because I've not been at my site for a couple of days and by the time I installed this update I had already read today's (ie daily) posts.

Anyway...there are 14 "getdaily" references in the navbar, but some refer to {vb:rawphrase's "today" as a variable. My suspicion (in looking at the default template) that "new" and "daily" are certainly very different things.

I changed only 9 of the do=getdaily to do=getnew (anything relating to "new" in the subsequent {vb:rawphrase

Another thing I noticed...since the update, my postbit legacy spacing was back to the default...where the signature appeared below the postbit block, rather than the post.

I'm not sure if that's a coincidence or not, but it seemed to ignore / erase the additional.css change I made to fix this.

I've since edited the default postbit.css as explained here...everything seems to be fine now.
