Is anyone else getting emails from "vBRewrite Sales" with subject line: Notice About vBulletin 5 SEO Software? I get the same email at a steady rate of 40 per hour.

I have not gotten any such email either, but I did hear from someone else who got it- through they only reported 1 email.

When i went to the website, the way it was written did not inspire confidence.

It is not an official vBulletin product or email.

Give it sometime the person who is initiating it is a popular VB staff and have experience with Vbseo. It is a start.

I don't think it is a member of vB Staff sending out the emails.

If you know who it is maybe you can pass along their mass spamming is getting stuck. Now someone else tells me they got at least 5 copies.

I didn't get any spamy email. Rather a direct pm. Lets not try to bash something just because it is new.

We all know how Vbseo started with the mass emails. I received one too back in the days from Vbseo, that is how i found out about it. I am sure if it is an error spam, he will take care of it.

It could be someone w/ a mailing list from vBSEO or a hacked site, only way they could get your email addy unless just blindly/randomly sending them but sure is odd a few vB owners received them... coincidence?! I think not!

Edit: Actually see Katie's reply above ^ it could also be this person is very dedicated to promoting their product and is finding email addy's legitimately.

I received almost 100 copies of this e-mail in the last two days. Many (up to few dozen) e-mail addresses are included in each e-mail.

40 emails, now 100 ? The numbers doesn't add up here right. No one will send a 100 email of the same email, especially in email marketing. Unless the scrip he is running is stuck in a loop or something, still hard to believe 100 of the same email to the same person.

Can you share a copy of one of the 100's email you received?

I got a copy of the email someone forwarded me and it had scores of email addresses listed in the TO field meaning the spammer who sent them didn't even know how to use BCC to hide the other emails they were sending too. If one person on the list 'replies to all' that is dozens of emails generated and you also give away the emails of other people- it is not a good practice for a respectable business.

Well i pmed the Vb staff who pmed me asking if this is his software. He just send me the link and told me to check it. May be it is not his and he wanted me to just check it. Will see his reply.

If it is his, i think it is an error because he won't do that.

Been getting them all day long here as well, it's obnoxious.

Finally registered on the site and left message and post to remove my address from his mailing list. There were several others who left same type of messages. See they were removed this morning. Now not getting them anymore. If they dont stop maybe signup with an email you dont use much and post the same thing - remove email from list.

They deserve to be bashed and not because they are new (they aren't, FYI vbrewrite goes back to 2006). I have received over 20 of these spam emails in the past 48 hours. I didn't ask to be put on his list, I don't want his spam, and I don't want 20 copies (so far) of his spam.
