This hack is write by gogosoft and edit by ztsky.
I have post it before,but in Chinese.Many people PM or email me want to get a English version,So I re-release it in English.
This hack can work on all vb versions
File to be edit:
admin/index.php
index.php
template to be edit:
forumhome
how to install it? :
down zip file.
there are three files in it.
fader.js newsfade.php and installnews.txt
**********upload NEWSFADER.PHP to you vb/ADMIN
**********upload FADER.JS to your vb/
**********edit you file or template as installnews.txt
**********upload edied file.
**********go to you vb/ADMIN modify or post a news!

Template

R-music,
Can you give me the Newsfader code to be added in the forumhome template.

I added the code in the install.txt file in the forumhome template. It didn't work

Followed Instruction

I followed the instruction as of install.txt. It still doesn't work. I just get a blank table with the heading "Forum News"

where are your forum?I want to go and see it.
This hack is very simple and fancility,I don't kown why you can't install it.

problem...

i am getting alot of emails saying the index pages (forums home - listing all the forums) won't load up beyond the java news fader. i assume these people don't have java enabled. is there somethign i can add so if someone doesn't have a java enabled browser the page will just not load the java news fader but will load the rest of the page???

great hack mate!! is it possible to change some of the events that come up ie change the newest member bit to birthday (if 1) or maybe post counts etc etc.

wont display on v2.0.3 unless you upload the index.php from v2.0.1 but when you add news it dosn't put it in the order you add it any help plz
