Hybrid postbit

Function

Both the legacy and the classic postbit have their advantages. So why not combine them. The legacy itself sometimes seems to big with smaller posts.

This is how the hybrid postbit might look like.

Creativity is key.

After making the edits in the postbit legacy template, the system stopped me during the save with this. Seeing the eval code in there, I'm assuming it's because I'm using php5.

Any thoughts?
This most of the time means a typo eg forgotten ; or " or something like that.

I'm thinking now it's got to be another hack interfering with it. I upgraded to 3.5.4 and went back to php4 and still I have the same issue. I can't see where in the code or why though??

Damned confusing...

I love this site. It's so educational for the coding challenged. Of course I feel like an idiot but I'll get over that soon enough..

I found my issue. I read in another thread somewhere on here where one person was telling another they needed to make their hack xhtml complaint and since they had <br> instead of <br /> it wasn't compliant and that meant you couldn't have open ended <tr> and such.

Knowing that I have put some <br> in my sig section to space the sig away from the text a bit I went and changed those to <br /> and it worked like a charm.

By the way in the instructions above in the last section you have:

widht="100%"

I'm assuming that should be width and it's a typo but for people copying and pasting without looking at it, it might make a difference.

I could use a little help if you don't mind. I was moving the vbplaza gifts icons to the right table and they are showing fine but they are showing vertical instead of horizontal. It's kind of freaky looking. Any thoughts on how I can get to those to show in a nice straight line?
