Why not try installing different Notepad++ Theme, sometimes a different colour scheme can help.

No a custom language file, I found one YEARS ago, but cant seem to find it anywhere anymore. What it will do is the standard xml syntax highlighting, but also syntax highlight the PHP, HTML, and CSS within the XML.
It's not difficult to make, just time consuming. I find myself opening 4 tabs when creating a product so i do all my PHP in one, CSS in another and HTML in another. It's just more handy to be able top do it all in one file. Notice in the screenshot the PHP is all white.

Have you saved the files as XML and reopened them to see if it makes a difference? No members have liked this post.

if only there was a facepalm emoji on here lol...
I am fully aware of how XML syntax highlighting is, what I'm asking for is a custom language file for while developing products. it would no longer be xml, php, css, ect highlighting language. But all merged into one to form a vBulletin language. This has been done, I used it in the past, but I guess when I find time I will just make one myself. Like I said not difficult, just time consuming.

The replies have had me chuckling
![]() The last time the question was asked everybody got it completely wrong too. I've no idea about creating the custom language files, couldn't you copy the php one and use it as a base and then add in the custom vbulletin syntax like vb:if etc

I am confused though as to why you would want a unique language file when everything in software is codependent upon something else being able to recognize and read it. No members have liked this post.
