Locking the ACP
I tried searching but came up empty, but I remember eithe in the 3.0.x or 3.5.x world there was a modification that incoporated a sort of .htaccess requiring a file edit. Can anyone point me to it?

Something that will ask your staff to put user and pass like for the vb.com's member area? I remember there was some articles on how to do this. Sure, with the .htaccess file on the admincp/modcp with a spec that set that. But I don't remember the code you should put there.
EDIT: http://www.golivecentral.com/pages/txttut/htacc.shtml.

I'm sure there was a 3.7 mod that enables double locking the ACP?

Could not find it so decided just to use .htaccess as a stand alone security measure.
