A new look for your "newthread , newreply & editpost" posting templates!
This mod simply rearrange the whole look of the posting area with everything into a simple and easier viewing "Block". Members will easily have a better view of every options available and also make it cleaner and better looking!

This mod is based from our older 3.8 version of Lordtopcat "A new 'newthread' look"
that i couldn't find anywhere for the new version.

OPTIONAL:
  • I have added two extra CSS to it that you can use to change the look of the border, background and text color in it to match your board look! IF you do not want to add this option, you will need to replace whit the instruction from the .zip file: New CSS
    Make sure that you use WordPad to open the text files, they are in .rtf (rich text) for an easier instruction view.
  • I also added a block to the newthread in order for you to add 2 adsense block with maximum size of 200x200.
  • Instructions for the adds are included in the scripts of the newthread so that you only have to replace this:

    Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)   
    Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.

  • with your google adsense scripts.

Template editing:
Style Manager -> Your Style Here -> Edit Templates -> New Posting Templates -> newthread
Replace the entire content in the original template with the one from the .zip file

Style Manager -> Your Style Here -> Edit Templates -> New Posting Templates -> newreply
Replace the entire content in the original template with the one from the .zip file

Style Manager -> Your Style Here -> Edit Templates -> editpost
Replace the entire content in the original template with the one from the .zip file


StyleVars adjustment:
->Style Manager -> *Your Style here* -> StyleVars
In the search box, type form, then click on form_maxWidth and change the value of the Units to % and size to 100

Extra note:
In order to have the "post icon" to show as normal size in the posting area you will need to replace this CSS :
Style manger -> your style -> edit templates -> CSS Templates -> vbulletin-formcontrols.css ->.formcontrols .blockrow #posticon_preview ->
With this one:


Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)   
Suspended or Unlicensed Members Cannot View Code.

CSS Option:
Open Style Manager -> Your Style Here -> Edit Templates -> CSS Templates -> additional.css
at the bottom of the list, add the codes from the .zip file.
Follow the instruction from the text file in order to adjust colors and background.

Do not forget to add the code in it!
Find:

and add over it:


Block Disabled:      (Update License Status)

That's it! The newthread, newreply & editpost templates are now looking way much better and cleaner
It should fit nice in both fluid and fixed skins, but , some of the fixed skins are less then the maximum table width from the mod that is set to "1200px". Therefor, i do not suggest that you install this mod since everything would make it way too compressed or totally out of the main body

How do I modify this to display to the additional options to the right instead of the left. I want it to display the same as this mod.

I was working on this one myself but ran into a security token error on submit. Thanks for taking the time to get this out. I also would like to see it reversed like the old mode. It just feels more normal. You know-- Left to right...

Thanks for this. This makes the advanced area much nicer and easier to manage without scrolling. I used the 'blockrow and description' in the css as I have custom style. And it matches up nicely. Thanks for this. Installed and rated on vBulletin 4.0.7

Is it running on vB4.2.0? Cause i get errors when i change the Code of the Templates.

And a Question... When i run this Mod, is the Change of the Prefix also possible without changing zu "extended Editor"?
