There's a vB4 version of this mod available: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=231427
DownloadsII DownloadsII is a download database that integrates into vBulletin. It allows you to upload files, add images to them, create categories, link to external files - and more. It is very flexible and has many options. Because a lot of people keep on asking this: This mod works with any version of vBulletin 3.7.x and 3.8.x! It's also coded 100% XHTML 1.0 Transitional valid, just like vBulletin itself. ![]() Instructions & Support You can find an installation manual in the zip package (Readme-Install.txt). We try to answer most questions asked in this thread. Please don't send any pm's if we don't ask for them, as we said we try to give a high level of support in this thread. Don't forget to click the install link, so you will receive important update notifications. Screenshots & Live demo At the bottom of this post, you can find 6 screenshots of the front-end and back-end (AdminCP part) of the DownloadsII software. You can see the newest version in action at the Minatica.be Downloads (Dutch). Changelog (version 5.1.2) Jelle
Help!!! I can't upload large files?? This is probably the second most asked question. Have a look at this post for the solution. It doesn't work with GARS?! If you also use the latest version of GARS, you will get the "Fields marked in RED must be filled in!" error when uploading a file. I provided a fix here on the GARS forums. Addons We are offering 3 addons for this mod at the moment (have a look at the bottom of this post for them). DownloadsII contains 5 hook locations for the vBulletin plugin systems, so you can add extra functionality without file edits. Do you want to help expanding DownloadsII (if you are a coder)? No size limitation with in DownloadsII when you link to a file. However, if the file is stored on your local server, I'd recommend using the import feature instead of linking to it. The "link" feature was really intended for files that are stored on a different server.

this is where my zip file is located (the file which I would like to import): /www/forums/downloads/stat.zip
so the path will be : (/home36b/sub001/sc28591-FTHE/www/forums/downloads/stat.zip) The warning I get : Warning: opendir(/home36b/sub001/sc28591-FTHE/www/forums/downloads/stat.zip) [function.opendir]: failed to open dir: Not a directory in /admincp/downloadadmin.php on line 290 I dont understand what could be wrong No members have liked this post.

the path (that you put in the field on the import page) should be /home36b/sub001/sc28591-FTHE/www/forums/downloads/ without the file name at the end. Once you click "Import Files" you will get a listing of files in that folder.

No way to do that right now expect for taking the code I've attached and working it into the forum home php file. I'll see if I can whip together an add-on for doing it. ![]()

I'm still having problems preventing downloads greater than 18mb from timing out. I've looked through every file i can think of including my php.ini looking for connection timeouts and maximum filesize etc. but I cant find anything.
it doesnt say that the connection timed out. it just says file complete but sometimes only half the file was downloaded. No members have liked this post.

![]() I have now managed to get the code working on both in the forums dir and in the root dir http://www.gamerzneeds.net/downloads_tops.php and http://www.gamerzneeds.net/forums/downloads_tops.php This will now enable me to get it working. However, I will be gone for 5 days (going to a wedding) so I am unable to do the last thing. The last thing will be to make it not use the vbulletin template at all e.g. no banner, not footer, no background etc. the only thing to show is both tables. I remember last time I tried removing parts of the code, I got a blank screen, maybe if you get time over the next four days, if you could see what parts of the code need to be removed to do this and If some extra code needs to be written so it shows, could you do this or for a price? Thanks heaps once again, I really have appreciated what you have done so far ![]() edit: I think I have worked out what part of the code that needs to be changed. Is it this line
Because I have pretty much removed everything else but this line. What would I have to replace this line with, so I can print out only the tables. I also am thinking something to do with $HTML .= may be the reason why the page goes white maybe. I have tried everything, but I am catching a plane to catch in 6 hours time at 6 in the morning. Hopefully it will be some simple code that you can throw together, I am happy to pay you for your time as well. Thanks.

is what makes the page print. Without that, you will only get a blank page. Replace that with:
and you'll have nothing but the tables. Of course, you'll need to go in now and add your styles if you don't call any of the standard vb templates. The attached downloads_tops.php file moves most of the php stuff to the top of the file so you can more clearly see the table layout of the html. I've also attached another file called simple_tops.php. This is a very simple output so you can very easily see what's happening. ![]()

DownloadsII is MOTM for November 2006!!!
Congrats, CyberRanger and RS_Jelle! This is well deserved! ![]() ![]() Can we expect to see some major new features in the next few versions? Here are some features on my wish list, from memory. ![]() - multiple files or download mirrors - multiple folders for downloads (so they don't all get uploaded to the same folder, which can be problematic when there are tons of files) - Uploading a new file also deletes the old file, so obsolete files don't take up space - More advanced search page - Comment editing - Comment reporting - Add a category column on Member's Files and My Files - Latest files module for the forum and non-vB main site? don't know if one already exists or not... - Don't allow uploader to rate his own files... too many people give their own files 5 stars - Report file (for broken link, bad file, etc) - Pre-filled the Author field with uploader's user name when adding file No members have liked this post.

Big congrats on making MOTM well deserved. Thanks edit: you can see it in action here http://www.gamerzneeds.net/ it is down the bottom on the left hand side. Now all that is needed is to get it to fit in with the current cms design. But apart from that. I couldnt be happier because I now have something on the cms showing from my forums. Thanks again.
