Hi guys, first time poster here

I'm new to all of this.Could somebody give me the instructions for getting this skin onto my forums (love the skin btw!).

What folder do I upload the file to first? the images folder is it?

Then what do I need to do in admincp?

I already have a gold logo, so this skin is just ideal for me at the moment.Your the answer to my prayers

Also, how much can I manipulate this skin.Say if I want different buttons and that.
Is it a case of have the whole skin or nothing is what I'm asking.

Just an update.It was in fact very simple procedure, so I've done it.

Unfortunately my logo has disappeared.

If you look here and choose the default style: www.oghma.net/itforums

the logo is in big gold letters, but when you change the style to black and gold, the logo goes back to small letters.

How can I sort that out please?

To fix your logo problem you need to go into the AdminCP and go to Styles and Templates >> Style Manager then select All Stlye Options from the drop down next to Black and Gold. Then in the Image Paths section you will want to change the first setting - The title image to whatever yours is (This is relative to your main forum directory.)

Just two more things I need to clear up.

I still get the white paper by each thread title.

Also the subtitle under my main logo is showing up in white.

It doesn't look right like this.What should I do?

To fix the little white paper beside the threads you need to upload the set of icons and smilies that is in the zip file - They go into your main "images/smilies" and "images/icons" folders. However if you install those they will affect all of your styles you have installed and may make another one look funny. As for the subtitle can you post a screenshot of that for me to take a look at ?

Any chance you can have the categories name in White and a space to divide them?

You can change all of the font colors from the AdminCP in the Style Manager. As for spacing out the categories there is a mod on here that does that however I can't remember exactly where. Might want to try searching for it - I think it was called Category Spacing Gold or something like that.

I don't see any white text on there - Some of the text is a paler yellow which I used to make some contrast between the two. You can change it from the Style Manager in the AdminCP if you want it to match the others. As for the white paper icon you must not have placed them in the proper icons folder - I have the icons installed on mine and they show up just fine.

It seems that the white paper icons have now gone and been replaced with the gold icons.

I haven't done anything since last night when the icons were showing as white.
However when I checked the site out this morning it had changed.

Must a refresh setting in vb somewhere.Anyway glad it sorted itself out!

It was probably just from where you had the old icons stored in the cache on your computer. Glad you got everything straightened out !!

Is there anyway you (or anyone) could explain how/what you uploaded? I love this skin!

The easiest way to install this is to just transfer the images folder into your main forums directory then from your AdminCP under Styles and Templates click on Download/Upload Styles. From that page you then just upload the xml file from the archive and it will be installed.
