This is a hack that will add icons to your forum categories on the forum home page.
History: I was the originator of this hack back in the vBulletin 1.x days and continued this in vb 3.7.x. I have had numerous requests to port this to vb 4.x.x so here you are. Please click install if you want support for this mod and to encourage me to continue adding features! Enjoy! You can find nice icons here, here and here. Thanks to LatinoCheats for this link. Upgrades: For those upgrading just make sure when you import the product you select "Allow Overwrite". You will also need to revert your templates (only for users of version 1.2.2 or earlier) and then follow the instructions as outlined in the install.html file. Note: Before you ask, yes this works with all browsers. (Tested on FF, IE8, IE7, Chrome, Safari and Opera)  IMPORTANT! If you use the "Auto Template" feature of this mod and it doesn't work then you MUST do the manual template edits outlined in the install.html. This plugin was created using a default vbulletin style. If you like this mod than please nominate for "MOTM". Donations are gladly accepted! It works great on 4.1.12 too, but it just needs the Sub-Cat icons to work/show the same as it did before 4.1.10.

I have a Problem with the Forums. Look at the Pictures. I did all Templete Edits manuell... Im hope anyone can help me  Picture 3 is the Fail....

Good mod, but after following the instructions on installing install.html, I have a problem with the way the mod called images, not identifying its extension (png,gif, etc...).
I leave some pictures to help explain ... If there are any suggestions to resolve this issue ... thank you.

I can't seem to find this question in this thread anywhere, but can this also be used for the new standard mobile style? That style currently has a very limited set of Style Vars, which does not include the files required for the manual FCI-edit. Thanks!

Great mod
I have created my picture size of width 400px & hight of 63px with the maximum opacity (10%) to create a backdrop picture that spans all the forum section. Whilst this looks great im unable to click the forum link text to read the forum. Is there any work around for this? Is there perhaps a way of adding z-index as a work around? Vbulletin version 4.1.8 No members have liked this post.

Dark_Wizard, would you try to have a look and see why it doesn't show for Sub Forum icons within an actual Forum as per it did before 4.1.10 please.
There must have been some code changes for the Templates for the Sub Forums after 4.1.10 I'd think, that's why it stopped working. Thanks. No members have liked this post.
